Ok so i need to name my sambas, i have Aslan but the name doesnt look right over his head to me so can anyone help me name one, I would like something noble yet powerful. i was also thinking Kiara ?

I named mine Courage... maybe something along those lines?

I will be no help as I named mine Allegory :} You might want to google languages in places where lions live and get a word for lion? Come to think of it, I might need to do that hehe.

I named mine Salhet, after the Uldum cat-dude. He can't fight on his own, and there's a sense that the community sees him as useless--until you find out he has a pack of lions trained for battle, and that he has a brilliant tactician's mind. I quite liked the char, and my kitty's named in his honor!

I named mine Mercury... but I really like the name Salhet also. Pity I didn't think of that

Heh, I named mine Aslan. You could also try Simba, since I think it'd be odd with the name Kiara floating over a male lion pet.

watched this movie and always wanted a lion to name it "Prey" ...now got the perfect one

I haven't seen a Sambas named Aslan. And that is good

Simba is reserved. So is Scar and Mufasa. the rest are all okay. I tested all the Lion King names.

Mine is named Forseti, after the Norse god of justice.

But I have a Norse theme for my pets-if I can't think of a name, I go Norse for them, lol.

My pet names are all Star Trek themed, so mine is TomParis. I liked the suggestion by Button of "Courage" - related, you could do something like "Crusader" or "Pride" ?

mine is Kekoa apparently means brave one in Hawaiian according to Behind the name i like this site very much has given me great ideas

I named my Sambas Atani. No real meaning behind it that I know of, besides the fact that it was a secondary character in a book I read. I thought it fitted Sambas.

I named mine Russell, but all of my pets have had weird names like that recently. (Grace the KK, Erik the red devilsaur, Ike the Chrom...) For yours, I suggest:
Jengi, the forest deity of an African pygmy religion.
Courage, as suggested above.
Caesar, of course.
Anthony, from Shakespear's Julius Caesar.
Aurum, latin for Gold, originally meaning "Shining Dawn".

Ellard means 'noble and strong'.

I named my own Sambas, Mohala. My husband named him. Means 'fearless' in Hawaiian. :}

It was the only non dorky name my hubby has given me. He told me to name my Karoma 'Durpypuppy' =.=

If I'm not mistaken, wasn't Kovu the name of that male lion (the one that looked kinda like Scar) from Lion King II? The one Simba's daughter liked? Been a while since I've seen it, but the name rings a bell.
