Making a list and taming it twice...

The week before Cata started, I decided to camp for the Time-Lost Proto Drake. I set up WOW on the small monitor, a movie on the large, and proceded to have a night of it.
Climax of the movie hits, as does NPC Scan. In my scramble to target the proto drake for kiting -- for indeed, I had finally found him -- I stupidly fall into the Engine. More intelligent player kills him in the snow fields in the NW part of Storm Peaks.
Despondency.
On my way through Vashj'ir, I decide to see if Ghostcrawler's up. I'm too low-level, but I decide to use the opportunity to scout a bit. Love the lack of activity, and pop -- there he is. Fun. Nobody else was interested. But then, it was level-o-rama time.
A few days ago, I decided to tame Terrorpene, since I was levelling through Hyjal. On a lark, I swoop over the lava fields, pop my core hound and potions, and acquire me a new tortoise (my first, actually). Happy tanking pet. We get along well.
Last night, I hit 85 in the Highlands. Made a pass through Storm Peaks for the TLPD, and killed Skoll (I didn't need a third Skoll tame on the same character, and nobody else was around -- normally I advertise to hunters).
Tonight, on a lark (again), I make a pass through Highlands and tag Karoma.
I go for Jadefang. I sit there for five hours, having launched myself on my first try. I out-stare undead (do they even *have* eyelids), play a bit of show-n-tell-n-dance with a Tauren couple (hunter and druid), wave off a couple fell Alliance, and tame her. Oddly, NPCScan didn't trigger on her. I'll have to experiment. I have no idea how long she was there, but I am sure I'll be back for a companion drop.
Off to find Ghostcrawler. After half an hour watching the occasional gather bot for the two lonely mineral nodes, he is mine. Dang, he hits hard.
Gave up for the night trying to locate Madexx -- I have some things to do in the morning -- and head back to Storm Peaks. On the way, I kill Jorfus in Icecrown.
The rares like me tonight, and NPC Scan is my friend. But I still fell into the Engine, and the Time-Lost Proto Drake *will* pay.
.. I didn't mention I got my green proto drake on my first Oracle egg, didn't I? Well...
