A little help with Worgen lore?

So, I tamed a blue warp stalker on my new worgen hunter, Vaeryn. I decided I was quite fond of the model, but I realized it doesn't make much sense for my worgen (who was born after the walls were sealed and would have just left Gilneas for the first time very recently) to have a creature from Outlands. I was thinking that it could have been a family pet that her parents had brought behind the wall before it was isolated or something, but I don't know. Vaer is on an RP server and I'm SO picky about what pet I have. If I don't think it looks right next to me, I wont go around with it. When I finally find a pet I liked with my worgen (warp stalker) it didn't make sense. So argg. You guys should help me.
Any ideas?

Well, I've never roleplayed in-game before, but I think I know enough to give some suggestions a try... hmm...
It could be possible that he could be a family pet of some kind... some warp stalkers can be found outside of the Outlands. Like the Displaced Warp Stalker, and how Chasm Stalkers are found deep in the sea rather than in outer space. They'd definitely be very rare creatures, though. Maybe because he was so rare he was taken back as a 'trophy pet' of sorts, after being stumbled upon? (Maybe taken as an egg or hatchling for easy transport?) There could be a grain of possibility to it.
Or maybe a friend of your character's had tamed a warp stalker, and your character was given an offspring for their own pet?

Being a Worgen does not preclude you from going to Outland. While timeline-wise you had nothing to do there, your Worgen could have still went there specifically in search of an exotic beast.

The Darkmoon Faire was in town and did some illegal pet selling around back... hence family pet.

Maybe you could go the way of the mighty 'oh, a mysterious egg! I shall take it home and hatch it!'? That's what my tauren hunter did.
Found the egg in a raptor nest, differently colored than the others, took it home, waited for it to crack open and about had a heart attack when it hatched and a tiny spiny lizard hopped out and was immediately clinging to her nose, chirping for food.

It's highly unlikely that a warp stalker is something your character or her family could have gotten before the wall was sealed. While I imagine some exotic creatures may have slipped through to Azeroth when the orcs first invaded, the Dark Portal was closed before Gilneas walled itself off and only was re-opened after Gilneas had become isolated.
However, as Andine said, there's no reason why your character couldn't have gotten a warp stalker after leaving Gilneas, perhaps purchasing it from some kind of exotic animal trader, or traveling to Outland herself. Or perhaps it belonged to another (maybe enemy!) hunter before joining up with Vaeryn. There's all sorts of ways s/he could have come upon one afterwards.

I'd go with the simplest explanation: she found the beast on her travels to Vashj'ir/Outland and decided to tame it. Why and how she decided to do so is up to you. Easy peasy!
The less lore-twisting you have to do, the better.
