I already posted a dream mini-pet topic in the mini-pet section of the forums. How about a mount version?
Myself: I tend to have a love for the rare mounts. Not because of rarity, but because of the looks. Most of them I think just look awesome.

Mottled Drake (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcAeZ05DtH0) It's one of the new TCG loot cards and currently costs around $230.00 (to $280.00) US dollars to buy off of eBay.
As I'm sure I've mentioned before, my luck with loot cards is terrible and (even with Christmas around the corner) I highly doubt anyone in my family would spend that money for a virtual present.

A close second is the Phoenix mount (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yQcx83WYFw) from tempest keep. I've never seen it drop and doubt I ever will. I don't think anyone has it on my server even.

How about you? Any mounts you would love to have, but doubt you'll ever manage to get? (At least not right away.)

Sandstone Drake, I want it badly for Christmas. >.< Already got mats, but nobody on the server has the pattern.

As for ground mounts, I'd really like to get a Spectral Tiger one day.

The phoenix mount is definitely one of those mounts at the top of my list, specifically for my Blood Elf Huntress.

The Zulian Tiger mount from ZG was another dream mount I pined over but alas, my luck just wasn't enough it would seem. Still hoping that Blizz might bring this and the raptor mount back somehow now that ZG is no longer a raid instance.

Another mount I would love to acquire are those Undead Frostwyrms to compliment my Undead Characters. I believe, last time I checked anyways, they were only attainable by arena players.

Both ICC drakes are still available (Frostwyrms), as well as the Ulduar ones (plated Proto-drakes). Blizzard has currently got no plans of removing them (unlike what they did with the Naxx ones).

Aha! Thank you Erwil. I wasn't aware that those Frostwyrms were attainable any other way outside of Arena Battlegrounds. This info is much appreciated.

I have so many dream mounts its insane haha.

Ground:

Raven Lord: The first mount I really though 'OMG NEED IT' for. Done over 200 runs without a drop, but hopefully if I'm patient enough it will eventually show up and join the rest of them.

Zulian Tiger: Once I started ZG runs I realized I HAD to have this mount. It's so gorgeous because of the colouration and the model, and as Horde it would be a real prize to get. Luckily I got it a few weeks before they removed it from game, so I'm very very happy about that.

Black Warstrider: Seems kinda silly for some, but when I hit level 60 back in BC I really wanted a hawkstrider mount. I PvP'd my ass off to get enough BG marks so that when I dinged I could buy the pretty black chicken. It was my first mount that I obtained other than my racials. Not so much a dream mount anymore but it was back then.

Mechano-Hog: What is more badass than a bike? I saved up enough gold but didn't get one crafted because my goal was to not drop below 10k. However, my amazing boyfriend surprised me with one last week for an early Christmas present! <3

Woolly Rhino:: My luck sucks and I can't justify spending over $100 on a mount.. but I would love to have the rhino! I also would love the spectral tiger or chicken mount, but I doubt they will happen either.

Flying:

Time Lost Proto Drake: Proto-Drakes are one of my favourite flying mounts. I love the model so I knew I had to have at least one. Now I have the red, green and violet, but I really, REALLY want the time lost. I am such a trophy hunter and the colouration on the mount is just gorgeous. I've been parked up there and I actually missed it by a few minutes last night because I had some chili... hopefully it will turn up eventually, I want it soo bad.

Drake of the Winds: I don't really care what colour, though I really like the red one. The models are so beautiful! But I won't be getting any of these on my collector until I get a TLPD, so it might be a while until I get one.

Twilight Drake: Such a gorgeous drake. Never thought I would have it but I ended up getting into a pug and paying the winner 7500g for it. Totally worth it, so pretty!

Red Dragonhawk: I set a goal for myself to get 50 mounts and I didn't think I could do it. Now over 2 years later I'm sitting at 118, and the dragonhawk is mine. As I said I am a trophy hunter and mount collector above all else in the game, so having this mount is a huge accomplishment for me.

My dream Mounts are 2, Time lost proto drake which im currently camping when i'm online if im not camping a Rare Beasts to tame
And Horsemans Reins a once yearly Mount which i have yet to get for some reason, Maybe next year i will "Fingers crossed."

Sooo many mounts that I want. xD

- Forsaken Warhorse. Probably my favourite Undead mount, I really have to work on finishing the Argent stuff to get it one day. x)

- Still pining after the Anzu mount...I've yet to see it drop, but someday hopefully...

- I can't wait to find this guy with Archaeology.

- Likewise, a silithid mount we can use anywhere. Need to find him!

- Someday I'm going to end up going insane camping for Aeonaxx for this mount. I just adore the green and purple though.

- I've always wanted a black dragon mount, so hopefully someday I'll get some people to help me get this.

- Mini Onyxia? Do want!

- I think this drake is a lie. All through WotLK and with the countless times I ran UP, I've never even seen it drop. ><

- My favourite proto drake out of them all. I don't know if I'll ever be able to obtain one, but I would love if they stayed accessible.

- Another dream mount that I simply would die to get. Crossing my fingers that someday maybe I will.

As for mounts that I wish existed.....a Black Warpstalker mount and a Crocolisk mount would be on my wishlist. :3

you have to wait until World Of Warcraft: Mmmrrrgggll's Revenge when Murlocs become a horde playable race to get the Crocolisk mounts.

I wish they'd bring the Naxx drakes back as well. The amount of ICC drakes has skyrocketed after cata went live, but for some reason you don't see the Ulduar drakes out there as often. o.O

I basicly want all that Vephriel said XD besides the Forsaken Warhorse and raven lord as I have both of those. Just add that giant chicken mount and thats all i want!.

I always just wanted a simple Proto-drake I like the way they look and it doesn't matter to me what color it would be. :3 One of these days I'll get off my arse and get one.

Try for the green one its the easyest one to get.

I just want to add that RNG loves me. I just got the Raven Lord after 225 runs! Yay! Another one of my dream mounts added to my list <3

Cenarion and Argent Hippogryph. They are the closest mounts as Horde I will get to Gryphons, which are my fave in this game.

Blue Proto-Drake: I've lost the roll so many times. Once to an alt who said: "lol i'll never be able 2 use it!! ^^^". Currently learning how to solo Skadi!

you just need some determination for TLPD. camp on the frozen lake and dont move, seriously. enlist help of your friends too if need be.

Don't really care much for any of the mounts in the game at the moment, but I would love to see a pterodactyl mount some day. Not like the small pterodactyls that are in the game at the moment, but a drake-size one.
