What country are you from?
The United States of America - Birmingham, Alabama to be precise.
Where is it located?
Alabama is in the southeastern united states, south of Tennessee, east of Mississippi, west of Georgia, north of Florida. Yes, we do wear shoes in Alabama, and yes we do have indoor plumbing.
Name 3 cool things about your country!
- Birmingham has the famous statue of Vulcan, the largest cast-iron statue in the world. Due to the fact he's wearing a blacksmith's apron and little else, he also gives the south end of the city a "full moon" regardless of the actual moon's phase.
http://www.visitvulcan.com/
- Birmingham is about 90 minutes east of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, home of the National Champion Crimson Tide college football team. (In the interests of equal coverage, we're also about the same drive north of Auburn, Alabama, home to a raptor rescue center, an excellent veterinary school, and the Auburn Tigers football team.)
http://www.ua.edu/ http://www.auburn.edu/
- Birmingham is also home to the Alabama theater, "the showplace of the south." In earlier years, this magnificent old movie house with its Wurlitzer pipe organ was "the" place to go to see a movie in Birmingham. These days, it's home to films, concert performances, and is one of the screens used for the Sidewalk Moving Picture movie festival.

What country are you from?
I actually have two countries to choose from. I'm originally from Denmark, but migrated to Canada 9 years ago. I'm gonna go with Denmark since Veph did a great job describing Canada. (My husband did a better job of selling it though, Veph.

The first two years we were together, we couldn't hear a Canadian artist on the radio without him asking "Oh, Alanis! Do you know where she is from? .. Oh, Bryan Adams! Guess where he's from! ..." ad infinitum.

"Yes, honey, you've mentioned that Alanis is Canadian oh... 500 times by now. *sigh*")
Where is it located?
Denmark is a peninsula and a mass of small islands located on top of Germany. We're the Southern-most Scandinavian country.
Name 3 cool things about your country!
- Danishes as way, way, way, waaaaaaaaay better in Denmark than anywhere else. We don't call them Danishes though. They're Vienna Breads.

- Denmark was ranked as the least corrupt country in the world in the 2008 Corruption Perceptions Index, sharing a top position with Sweden and New Zealand.
- Our flag fell from the sky, yo! (I can't find a link in English in my rush to enrich you with this information, but during the Battle of Lyndanisse (today's Tallinn), on June 15, 1219, a "heavenly voice proclaimed the Danish army's victory" (my translation from the
wiki site) and let the flag fall from the sky, into the arms of the praying soldiers.)
Edit: VIKINGS!

What country are you from?
I am from Germany, Hessen province, city of Frankfurt am Main. (Main is the river going through Frankfurt.)

Where is it located?
Located right in the middle of Europe. We have only a small coastline in the north. We're pretty small, you could cross the country from north to south in about 11 hours by car, even faster by train. Amazing, what kind of ruckus and riot this little spot on the map caused in World War two, huh?
Name 3 cool things about your country!
- Plenty of historical stuff! You can't sit down without having your butt touching something important on history!

- Food! Germany has the largest assortment in bread and sausage types in the world. (Or that's what I've read somewhere) And restaurants from all over the world!
- Culture! Museums, cinemas, exhibitions, views, art halls, libraries... You name it, we have it!

What country are you from?
The United States... and more specifically, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Where is it located?
Well, many people have done an excellent job describing whereabouts the U.S. is, so I'll just add that my state is in the Northeast, and is part of a group of 6 states known as New England.
Name three cool things about your country.
(Since others have done a pretty good job covering this I thought I'd take a more local angle on this)
- The game of basketball was invented literally one mile from my home, and volleyball was invented twenty minutes north of here.
- Massachusetts was the sight of the second permanent English colony in North America, established at Plymouth in 1620. (My hometown was founded in 1635 on the banks of the Connecticut River)
- According to a study I saw, this is the 4th most densely forested state in the United States, and forests are great.
