How to tame Chromaggus

If I'm not entirely mistaken Chromaggus is now tameable, though few hunter have that unique fellow in their collection.
I mostly blame the boss mechanics Blackwing Lair which is not that easy to do even when you are 85.
It starts (and more often than not also ends) with Razorgore, a fight which requires several people doing different things.
My primary Concern is not taming Chromaggus himself (I assume this to be fairly easy, but correct me if I'm wrong), but the whole dungeon you have to run through to get to him and that it is hard to get people into Blackwing Lair these days. (they usually have lots of new content to go through and don't care for classics)
I just tried it a few times but there have always been fights we could not get through with the line-up (mostly Razorgore, I admit

).
So the Question is: What is the easiest way to get to Chomaggus, What classes would be best to acompany my Hunter, what is absolutely necessary (I guess a healer is a must have, but do I need a Tank for example or would my pet-beetle just do fine?) and is there any way to skip unnecessary fights?

Hmm I did this at level 69 rather than 85.
You'll definitely need a tank and a healer of some kind if only for Razorgore, who is probably the hardest part in the instance for small teams (the other bosses are a DPS race or Tank and Spank).
I was in control of Razorgore, the Tank (a warrior) sat ontop of me as did the healer and the warlocks, the tank would pick up the adds, the two warlocks would AoE them down and the Priest would keep everyone topped off, I noticed that the priest did use her shield to stop the mind exhaustion debuff applying on me but I was able to control Razorgore the entire time with no breaks.
After that the fights are really easy, the suppression room will be hell without a Rogue for disarming the traps though but if you've got enough AoE you can slowly make your way across and just kill off all the adds as you go.
The only Drake that may be a problem is one that applies a debuff to the main tank which means he heals for 35k health every time he hits that tank however if everyone is level 85 it really isn't a huge problem and you can always use widow poison to cut that heal down.
As for Chromaggus...well because I was level 69 I had the priest throw a shield on me, used a throwaway Corehound from Molten core to buff me with Ancient Hysteria, dismiss the Corehound, pull the lever and go straight into the tame.
The shield and the speed buff meant I was taming at 6 seconds and only took 1 hit.
If you're level 85 then...well yeah you're going to be kicking around in so much health that it's not going to matter.
I will point out however that Chromaggus CAN be easy...it all depends on which affliction you've gotten him with, the Bronze affliction which stuns might cause problems.

It's not too hard. to be safe, I'd recommend a part of 5 atleast(including you).
The healer I had best with was a druid. Didnt need a throw-away pet or anything but I was lvl 80 so.....
However, I did use a haste potion cause he hits like a truck even at lvl 80.

It's possible to duo up to chromaggus. Ideal combination would be with a priest who's also Shadow Specced.
The most difficult part is the first 2 bosses.
First Boss, Hunter controls orb, healer kites adds around (i did that as a hunter as well as a paladin). DO NOT KILL ADDS, this will only spawn new ones, just kite around and keep yourself up with shield renew and the occasional heal/fear. As soon as the hunter has destroyed the eggs, tank boss with pet, and kill it. I duoed this at lvl 70 with hunter pally, should be more than doable at 80/85 for hunter/priest. 2nd Boss, let pet tank, do damage as fast as possible (Priest go shadow).
Now, the reason I would take a priest over a pally is pw: shield for the dragon bosses. the 2nd one has a debuff that heals him when he attacks the tank. It doesnt heal him when the tank has shield up.
The chromaggus tame is easy as hell, pop deterrence and start casting tame beast, you won't have a problem if you're not horribly undergeared.

First of all thanks to all for the quick answers!

I'd already expected Razorgore to be the hardest but I wanted to make sure, there is nothing else behind I forgot about which might lead to a premature ending.
Since Bastor mentioned the second Boss (Vaelastrasz) would be hard too, I would have expected you could just run past him or am I mistaken there?

2nd Boss is pretty much a dps race, so it's only hard if you're trying to go with as few people as possible.
I persuaded 3 of my guildies to do BWL a day before Cata hit and all of it was rather easy. I actually don't know if you can skip him, we didn't try.
If you need help in persuading people to do it:
2 of my guildies started wow with TBC, so they just wanted to see the dungeon. This can work rather well.

I was 85 when I got mine I just use some haste food and got him easy the back door still opens also so you can do a raid with him and tame him and go to the end :3

Easily done with 4 level 80s (in my case guildies) that's for sure - just let them know what to do at the "awkward" encounters (mainly Razorgore! - but expect a death or 2 at Vaelastrasz the Corrupt). After that, it's plain sailing.
I used another Core Hound's Ancient Hysteria to speed up the tame for Chrommagus - but I don't think that was necessary.
I had better than green equipment on my hunter when I tamed him - probably what Darknez is currently wearing on the armory view.

Vaelastrasz is always a funny fight. When we did him for Yasindra's Chromaggus, I decided to use my Shango for her HP glitch. Shango tanked like a pro as Aria and Gex focused on DPSing the boss down and I focused on dpsing/MDing onto Shango and spamming Md as much as I could between the maddness.
Then Aria dies- Gex blasts her with Rebirth, then he dies, then Aria dies and then Shango dies, it's just me and Vael, me and Vael, both one shot away from death- Vael dies!
Then for round two for a guy I became friends with to help him get Chromaggus, I tanked him on my paladin and it was pretty much the same fight, though I think our new hunter buddy survived. Then as I'm apologizing to Aria, I die.
Tbh that fight makes the whole instance, it's like
Who's gonna smish, lets find out!

When I did BWL I had 4 guildies and 3 pugs (or was it the other way around?), so it was a party of 8 total, with 6 of us at 80 and the other 2 around level 65. My guild is pretty active, though, and the people I had help me were from my ICC 10m raid group, so we already had a good relationship. For the pugs, I just enticed them with level 60 epics (for those around level 65) and the ingots for Sulfuras (I think that's the one anyways). It went pretty smoothly, and taming Chromaggus wasn't a hassle. I just walked up to him and hit tame beast. Didn't have to use any haste buff or shield.
This was the Saturday after the Shattering.

We had a very entertaining run of it with two hunters (We rolled for who'd get first-purple-lizard-doggy-dibs :B) one warrior tank and a pally-healer first run, druid-healer second time around.
Admittedly, we did.. Erm.. Wipe more than a few times on Razorgore, mostly due to the fact both myself and the other hunter... Forgot to dismiss our pets before trying to MC him (Drhhhrrr)
Our seagull pet ended up tanking Vaelastrasz for the last 15% or so after he mushed our sorry faces into the floor. One-shot'd our healer on both occasions, that darn drake! But overall it was a fairly quick, easy and quite entertaining run with three of us being 80 and I beliiieeve I was about 75 at the time.
My advice would be to get together a group of buddies and make an adventure of it. And be very nice t' your healer.
"Ah. Chrommy just smushed me guys."
"Have fun running back
"
"Fff- The slow. THE SLOW. THE -WHELPS-"
Much hilarity can be had.

Go with guildies or friends if at all possible. PUGs rarely have the patience for Razorgore and this boss requires a *lot* of patience to get past. After him, though, it's pretty smooth sailing. Just expect a lot of "bullet time/Neo" jokes in the repression room.
I managed to get my Chronomaggus, Torrasque, with the help of 6 guildies. Here's the story, if you're interrested:

If you are having problems getting a group, start your own achievement run group. Just explain before they start that you are going to do the tame.
I got lucky and found a group doing the run one sat morning, with no hunters in the run besides me.

We 3 manned this with a Lock, Shaman, Rogue. First battle was the hardest and took us many tries but eventually my wife on her Rogue and friend on his shaman took care of adds while i killed eggs with MC pausing to aoe while the cooldown on MC ticked off. Second fight he had to ankh and i had to ss rez but we did it. all of us 80 before cataclysm came out. the other bosses were exceptionally easy, and we totally bypassed the last 2 of the dragons before Chromaggus by avoiding their aggro range. We ran in and accidentally pulled the lever while engaging mobs and wiped. This all took several hours and we called it a night. The next day i got a priest healer and my wife's rogue and my hunter and snuck past the last 2 dragons, pulled the mobs immediately before Chromaggus killing them in the lever room. The priest hotted me up and i dropped my traps at the gate, pulled the lever and distracting shot then began the tame and had him tamed without taking any damage. My hunter was at lvl 79 at the time of the tame. 3 notes... a) dont pull lever til you are ready. This spawns boss. b) bringing a rogue is great for making the suppression room much quicker by disabling the slowing traps c) skip ebonroc.
