Blackmaw/Soo-holu, what should they be classified as?

Odd question I know since they are cats, but when and if Blizz releases a tameable cat with their skins would it be better if the cat was given a rare label or a spirit beast label? Or should it just be a common cat Blizz decides to dump somewhere in the Storm Peaks or Sholazar Basin where Blackmaw and Soo-holu are found. Or to let us hunters have some fun..be involved in a hunter's only quest were we have to collect things to summon the cat for honor, pride, etc., etc, and if we want to keep it we can tame it or kill it and return its carcass for some uber bow, gun, sword, or staff. (Sorta like a version of summoning Shy-Rotam or Echeyakee.)

I actually really like that idea. Except I think that we could choose to bring either her carcass, or bring her back tamed. Of course, the other way could show what kind of hunter you are - more interested in your gear, or your pets!

If the skin is ever released, I'm going to have to guess that she'll be a spirit beast as well.

I don't know that a quest like would be implemented -- a player could theoretically tame the cat, and then abandon/restart the quest. If it's something that you couldn't pick up again, it'd be pretty irritating to have it sit around in your log for some reason or another, and then have it dropped for lack of space -- only to find out later you can't start the quest again later.

The skin was sent out as a mini pet on one of the countries servers, but no one knows why. They appeared in some players mailboxes. I forget what country it was, but I think its a great idea I'd love to see them utilize that skin more.

This skin, if ever released, should be rare and difficult to obtain. It would be tragic to see this as common as Loque (for example).

If they release this skin, I think it's going to get classified as Boar.
Like my old ghostsaber. He was named Boar. He was funny. He wiped a raid. And got me serious Vent aggro. And a /gick. Good times...

Well, I was on probation in one of the bigger guilds on my server, and due to a shortage of DPS they let me tag along. I was still fairly new to Hunters back then, but it had gone without a hitch so far. Until we get to C'Thun (<3). A few wipes later, and the RL is giving us a speech about how lazy we are fo not beating the powerful, evil, awesome creature. The GL, who had joined as healer this time, said that if we didn't clear it, the Hunter was getting the Hunter was getting the boot. There were three Hunters in the raid, and I ask "which one?". Big mistake. Apparently, the GM had a very bad experience with Hunters, and hated us (along with Rogues). Luckily, I wasn't the one about to get kicked, but I was probably testing faith with my question.
Anyhow, we wipe, and the poor dwarf got replaced with a gnomish mage. So, we run back down now, and we take a shortcut by jumping. Of course, Boar rushed along the ramp, down some stairs, and inexplicably survived long enough, despite the ridiculous amount of silithids following him. Around the same time he reaches the raid he dies, causing the silithids to turn to the GL, who was at the very back of the raid. He was instakilled
and the mobs resetted.
Some yelling in Vent later and I was standing in the middle of Ahn'Quiraj with a dead kittie next to me, and some guys writing lol in /s, some whispering "what did u do?" (They had been pugged, so they weren't in the Vent. I was also guildless.
That guild has disbanded long ago, but I still remember the complete randomness of that GL. On the few occasions he led a raid, the amount of Rogues and Hunters was surprisingly low, and I heard from some friends in the guild that he had kicked the other hunter from the guild too. Either that guy had some seriously bad experience with Hunters before, or he was having a REALLY bad day...

i just don't understand how some people can have that mentality. it is impossibly unrealistic to assume that because you dealt with one bad hunter before that all hunters ever are also retards.

lol, sounds terribly emo. x_x
All I can say is GO BOAR! There's no need to condemn an entire class (or anyone, really) that way. >_<
