Well Yas dinged 77 earlier. And I decided I will camp for STD cat.

Only problem is I'm the most impatient when I'm on my hunters, camping. Well, more specifically, Yasindra and Ryai. I just get bored, fidgety and I am unable to really keep my nose to the grindstone so to speak. What can I say I have a bit of ADD and I'm lazy.

But, I was determined to get a cat. I am still determined to get STD Cat but.

So I spent a few hours circling mindlessly in Zul'Drak, but realized, there were no rares. Anywhere. There was no cat, anywhere. And there's nothing for me to farm here, either. And I had asked Aria to help out but she doesn't have time to waste like I do.

So I decide, hell with it, Yas will camp for STD cat and Loque. I can atleast get steam clouds and the occasional cinder as I loop mindlessly around the basin.

So I'm two hours into this and I'm chatting/roleplaying with a friend. I decide on my upteenth loop of the basin in my roffle copter, I'll just admit it to myself. I'll prolly go mad before I see loque again. So I just pop on a music vid on youtube and beebop retardation spazz out and bang my head to the music.

I then come up to the spot where, on Ryai, I had fell over Loque before.


I then almost fall out of my chair, as ITS LOQUE.

My retardation moment carries on out as I hit tame beast five times, to oom and near death I FD, quickly eat a candybar left over from halloween [mmm moldy hallucinisation goodness! >_>] and well. LOQUE IS MINE.

Now to just get STD cat :V

Rarako: Could always just roll a second hunter to tame one or the either at a later point. Mean I've got 3 main hunters to 70+ and am working on others on the side when I get bored. So just pick which one you want to play with the most, and work on an alt on the side and ty for the grats.


Kalliope: Ty, and I guess that's my fave spot too- or atleast where my luck likes to be the most heh.

The one closest to the river on the righthand side of the map. Frenzyheart? I'm not sure. It's NOT the wintergrasp river.

It's the same river I kept getting lost at when I was trying to do a daily or the frenzyheart's quest itself lol.

Sorry I don't use loc addons, never got them to work or always seemed to get the wrong one. Basically as I said was at the spawn point when you just cross the frenzyheart river, or the one closer to the wintergrasp river.


Still searching for STD cat tho.

I had not really planned on getting a spirit beast, when one of my guildies.. spouts out that Loque has spawned and does anyone want him. I was on my Alt hunter at the time and said that I wouldn't mind... but needed to go get my main. so a big scramble to log off and back on... Find myself in Dalaran and FP to Nessingwary camp. The flight seem to be so long and I was sending eta time back to my guildie. She had spotted a Druid in the vacinity and was trying to hurry me up. I land, run to Stable master, swap out my pet to release to the wild and mad dash to fly up and meet her for Loque. There he was.. pacing back and forth looking for a companion to be with. . I drop down, get close (so I thought) release my pet, drop a frost trap and start to tame... Damn... out of range. So step forward.. in range now, take one shot and step back. Loque runs right into my trap.. and then I hit him.... sheesh.. broke my trap. So now I just start the tame and hope for the best... It was meant to be as he did not break my channel and he's now mine..

Lol, I always seem to drop the freezing traps in a bad spot and end up having to run forward to chase the animal, concussive shot, then run back behind my trap and start taming. By that point I might as well have not even dropped the darn thing.

I was just trundling along doing my once in a while search in ZD. Was deciding over hearthing or just logging since I have mail from the auction house, when I get Yas back to Harkoa. Heading that way when I remember, no wait she does have a spawn point higher up, and take a left instead of right when I get to where like Hakkar's sister or whatever the hell the windserpent god for the ice trolls is.

There's a yellow dot.

I pause.

Mouse over.

I drop and I can only stare at her a second, before remembering DROP TRAP. TAME BEAST.

So Landowar now has a sister of sorts. Soon to be named Moonglow. Yes i am naming her after Lunar Festival booze. Landowar means Moonfire in common evidently

Yay!!! Congrats! Gondria might be the next pet I go after, after Krush (beginning to think I'm crazy for even trying).

And hey if I finally saw him alive, then there's a chance you will too. If it gets to hard, start going for Gondria and wait for Cat to come out. It should for the most part make some places barren, like Outland is now. IE to many people are rolling new toons to level- to many are trying to zerg to 85/see new content.

Or even from the events, they may get so caught up in new quests and dailies and activities that will happen before Cat, that they have no time to go farm and camp like they do.

That's what I'm hoping for, that Sholazar will be empty and I won't have much to worry about. I think what bothers me the most is that he was right there, I was right there ready to tame him, and he got killed right in front of me. It was like my one chance to get him and I missed it. I know I'm just being dramatic but I took it very hard for some reason.

But anyhow, not trying to hijack your thread. I'm glad you got Gondria!!!
