Actually 2 things...

1) There are more BM hunters now, especially while leveling, so more pressure on the rares.

2) More of the rares are non-BM pets, so there are more hunters looking for them. In Wrath we had, Aotona?

Both those things, combined with the way they are spread out, means a lot more headaches in looking for them. So grats to ya'll on low-pop servers that tame all 6 in 15 minutes, but for those of us on high-pop servers, it's gonna be a major chore or extreme luck.

Time to finish leveling my fishing....

Yeah, think I'm gonna have to give up on seriously camping Madexx. Been camping him for a week and haven't even seen a corpse, no one's given me a time on when he was up (and I've asked)...nothing. It's like he doesn't even freaking exist on Ysera. I don't even think I've seen another hunter with him. Ugh. And I'm missing out on other things I should be doing like leveling professions and getting gear so I can run heroics with my guild. I thought about it last night and I just don't think a bunch of pixels is really worth all this frustration.

Sorry, Madexx, but I guess we weren't meant to be together after all.

Only rare I'm camping for this Xpac is Jadefang, the rest can wait for the random flyover moments (I'll surely tame them, but if I don't have them I'm 100% fine with that. Plus give it a month or two and the competition will be much lower since a lot of hunters will have recieved them already.

This... Not with the pressure on these rares on higher-pop servers..

I have to admit I surprised myself by getting all six on Hellscream.

I'm on a med/high pop server and I got both Sambas and Karoma today. Already snagged Terrorpene hanging out by the firey place. I rarely put in a camping effort since it'd piss me off too bad if I camped Karoma at one spot and she spawned in another and got killed. I just do random flybies and got both.

I'm on one of the most busiest servers....and two of my hunters have all 4 spirit beasts. Population doesnt mean squat when it comes to headaches.

I'm starting to think the same about the Vial of the Sands. Nobody still has it on my server, so I'm still going on.

Try to do just flybies for now and concentrate on gearing up and playing with your friends. I'm sure you'll run into him eventually.

I dunno across the four servers I've frequented, gonna cut to two or so after I get expansion though; I've seen:

2x terrorpenes

2x simbas

across: steamwheedle cartel, cairne, cenarius, none on ysera though, that I've seen...yet.

I'm still hoping for a green or blue Madexx, but the black one is pretty groovy...

Wyrmrest Accord is fairly highly populated, and the rares aren't up often.. I think it really runs down to dumb luck. However, I think flybys will work better right now, because not everyone knows all the spawn points.
Once everyone knows every spawn point, though, there will be problems.

I have about an hour before I gotta go to bed (it's 5:00 a.m. here). I'm hoping to get lucky but I'm not really counting on it. Still, there's only one other hunter here and they aren't in Sahket Wastes. Come on Madexx, just spawn for me, just once.....make this hunter happy. /beg /plead /pray
