so I decided I wanted jadefang, so I parked myself in his cave ready for hours of waiting with no spawn timer and no idea if I would tame him without him being killed.

so I waited, hour, two hours, then NPC scan sounds makeing me half fall from my chair as I was watching tv, and he's mine

now what to name this cutey

I named mine Uvarovite. A type of green garnet.

I'm thinking of Peridot, my birthstone

I got Jadefang by accident earlier as well. Intended to kill it on my warrior, but was too lazy to switch characters, so I tamed it.

Named it Ammolite, after a green gem that comes from Ammonite fossils.

I could be wrong, but I think Jade is a reserved name. My husband wanted to give that name to his crystal spider pet and it wouldn't let him.

Actually, I had a frostsaber huntress named Jade. Long ago on a forum far away, there was a hunter named Sukulatae who wanted to name her cat with green eyes Jade. She raised a stink on the forums and hollered to everyone who would listen, had a pretty decent forum sig campaign going, and kept putting new tickets in every time they closed one. Then, one day I logged in and found that a GM had renamed "Cat" to Jade. There's so many things named Jade that no one thing stands out and none of them are vulgar or actionable, so put in a ticket and see what happens.

Edit: This may work for some names, but most of the blocked names have legitimate reasons for not being usable. Use discretion and a dab of common sense when deciding to kick up a stink.
