I call my pet and it disappears

I just tamed a core hound somewhere in the new cata stuff. Every time I call it, it appears for about 3 seconds and than fades away. It's still on my action bar. I'm not sure why. It does not happen with any of my other pets.
Please help.

are you speced into BM? theres a bug where Survival and MM hunters are able to tame exotics, but then after its tamed they cannot call them (since they dont have that ability). If you're not BM then you have to switch to BM in order to use it
Normally a Survival or MM hunter shouldnt be even able to tame exotics, so I wouldn't get too used to it

I've been having a similar problem, but the pet doesn't even appear when I call it. I get an "you don't have a pet to summon"-error whenever I try. It usually helps if I move my pets around the stables a little, but it's still a little strange bug.

I'd start with Royi's suggestion first; make sure you're even in BM (Beast Master) spec with a point in the Beast Mastery talent then try resummoning the pet. If that doesn't work, go to a stable master (or however it is that the other bug works) and rearrange your pets, then try summoning him again. If that doesn't work, put in a ticket.

I've had issues with that before. I tried the stables thing but it did not work for me either. I tried logging out and back in, that didn't work either. I had to actually exit the entire game then relog in to fix the problem.

If a pet can be successfully summoned but will despawn in seconds no matter what, is it safe to assume that a non-BM hunter is trying to summon a pet from an exotic pet family that for some reason isn't tagged as an exotic? Given the experiences of myself and others with the Silithid Swarmer, and the more recent reports of the non-exotic core hounds, I think we can correlate a cause and effect with some confidence. The issues with "You do not have a pet to summon" seems to be an entirely separate bug.
