Im a 15 hunter and cant diecide for a pet.

Pick something that looks cool.

He can't tame that at 15, haha. But yeah, that is one fine looking pet for when he's ready.

You can, as they're level 6-7, but doing so tends to require repeated deaths . . .

*nods* You can indeed make the daring trip to Northrend at any level. I've actually done it at level 10 with no deaths....just got lucky. But honestly even just ghost walking it, if you rez at the Spirit Healer beside Utgarde Keep there's a Daggercap Hawk perched right there. :3

So they removed the level thing for taming pets a higher level than you? Or am I thinking of a different animal entirely?

You can tame pets your own level or lower, not higher level ones.

What race are you?? Try for a pet from another races main area.. Such as if you are horde try to get a ravager from Azuremist Isles.. Or as I did as lvl 10 Nightelf; a Lynx from the Ghostlands had to run through the Plaguelands to get there.. Use Corpse hopping, just run in your undies saves on repair bills; but you'll die... Alot, and the rez timer takes so long after a couple of death's in a row!! But there's nothing better than showing off that pet from a really hard place to get to

Or you can die, and then run as a ghost to the spirithealer in the target area, relog, and then take the spirit ress. Much faster.

Ah, that brings back the memories...corpse hopping all the way to Dun Morogh on my tauren hunter for a snow leopard, running to the Barrens for Echeyakee on my night elf (after a kind horde character summoned him for me). I always liked going out of my way for pets, my husband thinks I'm insane.

If you want an interesting pet at your low lvl and want to work at it you can get a Ravager for a pet.

You will have to go to Darkshore and drown under the boat then get on the boat and then get your body jump off at Azuremyst isle and then get to the bloodmyst part and you will find lvl 10 and 11 ravagers you can tame and they make great pets at your lvl!

I have a lvl 22 hunter and I thought about doing that.

Just remember if you are on a PvP server it's gonna take a while or take a high lvl with you that makes it easier to do!

Ravagers are like boars and are great tanking and they will lvl up with you which is nice!
