Race change Q?

I was thinking of race changing my level 75 Night elf huntress to a Worgen huntress. I don't really want to create a new Worgen and grind her up levels and I feel bored with my nelf.

Change or leave it?

Do you already have a worgen? I'd say test it out to see how you like it if you haven't =] From the people I've talked to, worgen are sort of a hit and miss as to whether or not you like them. n__n

Please reconsider the race. Trust me, you won't stand five minutes of a female worgen. Either go for a male, or pick another race.

With the male you can pick the eye color, with the women you can't (worgen).

With all due respect, that is your opinion on them, not the OP's. ^^ I personally race changed my 80 Druid into a female Worgen and am not finding her nearly as unattractive as I was expecting to. And besides, for all we know the toon zedxrgal is planning on changing might be a MALE Night Elf, and Worgen female >>> Night Elf male in my mind.

Agreed with Golden.

I race changed my druid from night elf to worgen and I absolutely love her. I'm also leveling a worgen huntress and I can't get enough of her. The sniffing noise doesn't bother me. Half the time, I never notice it. I love the /roar we get as Worgen and Running Wild is just hella fun.

I have two lowbie worgen, and I love them. Their idle animations are definitely overplayed (the wave while my warlock is on her felsteed, does she have to do it every 3 seconds??) but eh, they're a lot of fun.

What it comes down to for me is whether or not the toon clicks. I'd suggest playing around with the character creation screen and see if you can find a look for a worgen huntress you like - perhaps even run around with it a little, see if you like the shooting animations and such - and decide on the basis of that.

I plan on changing my nelf druid to a worgen.

edit: I did make another alt on a different server and went through the starting experience, since I knew I wouldn't be able to with my druid.

I say go through the character creation and look at the different options you have for worgens. If you find one that piques your interest go for it, no use in staying Nelf if you're bored with it.

I did that with mine, and I LOVE the worgen female animations. Very glad I did!

Firstly, if you haven't gone through the worgen starting area, then I wholly reccomend the experience. It will also give you some time to see if you like the animations and other quirks of the race. If you like it by the time you rejoin the world, then go ahead and switch.

My piece of advice....

Definitely try out a worgen character through the starter quests if you haven't already.
And if you can, level them to level 20 so you can try out "Running Wild."

My Worgen Hunter didn't click until I got that ability.

Of course, everyone is different, but give it a go and see if you like how the character acts/moves etc.

I agree. The starting area is incredible and intense, possibly even emotional if you're an Rper/lorewhore like me.

I did forget to mention I have a Worgen mage right now who's at a whopping level 6 just so I can experience the starting area and to see if I'd like a female Worgen. Sorry for forgetting that part.

But yes I'm bored of my Nelf and the only other races really are Worgen, Dwarf or Human. Dreanei is out because I already have a level 80 huntress and gnomes sadly still cannot be hunters.

So those are my only three choices. I've done the human and dwarf starting zones since the dwarf is the same as a gnome so there'll be no love lost there if I go with one of those but sadly I am still very much leaning towards a Worgen. The sniffing bugs the shit out of me but on my little mage I did find a look that looks pretty. So I'm still undecided as this is one of those decision that will cost me $$.

Well with druids, they dont do the sniffy sniff in their druidic forms. Find a druid form color that you like perhaps. It's determined by the human hair color.

If sniffing is the only thing that's bothering you, you can always edit that sound file--or does the animation bother you also?

Can I just suggest that you should make sure all your home city reps are where you want them before you shift, if you haven't considered that already? :3 Because Worgen don't use mounts you might want to make sure you're exalted everywhere else so you don't lose mounts or whatever (I'm not entirely sure how that system works with Other race > worgen change, but it just seems like an area that might be wonderfully buggy lol).

I really enjoyed my worgen, I only wish they had tails! x_x Their rears look so... empty without them hahaha. I'm considering changing my druid once I get the funds.

Appearently someone in my mains guild found out that they could still use thier Saber mount on thier race-changed worgen even though thier worgen did not have high enough rep to get the mounts.

I think with NE's the only thing I miss the most when I play my other toons are Shadowmeld, and being able to fly while dead (and rez on a certain cave ledge)

Shockingly, I actually like my female worgen, so long as I don't let myself sit there and start nit-picking at them. I rolled a male as well for RP purposes (TotH people know what I'm talking about. =P) and after playing him for a while, he makes me go urgh.

Part of it was it taking me like 30 minutes just to create my worgen character. I had an image set in my mind that I, unfortunately, wasn't able to recreate in game, mostly due to lack of customization within the human male model.

I despise the running wild animation. I read somewhere from someone (I believe it was here) that they look like they're getting ready for doggy style, and now I can't unsee that; plus, I hate the animation itself unless I need a really good laugh. My worgen will be using mounts from now on. >_>

The males have a nasty, gorilla-like run as well that makes me grind my teeth, however, I love the females. I like that the females aren't hunched over and that they stand up straight. I've really grown to love my female worgen. I plan to keep my male as well because I like the story I'm working up for him. One other annoying thing about my worgen DK is how everytime he idles on his mount, his little howling emote triggers the neigh of the horse. Makes me go O_o.

My biggest pet peeve with my female worgen is the god awful sniffing noise that they do way to frequently, otherwise I love my females more than I thought I would. ^_^

You dont lose any mounts.
