Raid leaders ninja-ing

So, this is a classic story.
Someone is posting in trade for an Onyxia 10man, and politely ask the leader if anything is reserved. They tell me no, so I'm like, well, in that case, here are my stats blah blah, to get an invite.
So, we kill the dragon. All I really want is the head, so I wait until that shows up. I end up with the highest roll, a 79. Raid leader's roll was 7. The prick goes, "mine", and takes it for himself. WTF is up with that?! So, I whisper them and whatnot, and the person continues to be a douche, clearly doesn't care. Another one to the ignore list.
I am just so fed up right now, I have run that raid so many times, JUST for the head. ARGH. And there's NOTHING Blizz can do about stuff like that, is there? /fume /rant
EDIT: Oh, I forgot to mention that said raid leader was also the LOWEST dps in the whole raid. I was #1 for a long time, but dropped to #2, seeing as my pet does nothing during the air phase. urgh.

I got a set piece from a GM, just tell them that you won the roll. He checked the logs, and two minutes later the token is in my pack. Hope you can get the head.
Unfortunately, announcing that someone ninjaed in Trade will just get you a lot of "lol y u care!?".

Hmm, but I don't think a GM can do anything about it, if it's on Master Loot.
And yeah, it's pointless to post in trade, where you find all the dregs of the game. Just warned my guildies and friends to be wary of the guild he was in, and not to group with that particular character.

If someone did that on my realm chances are they'd be called out of the realm forums and black listed on the server. This is a case of someone abusing their power because they nerd raged about loosing something.
I'm not sure if you can petition it, but you can try. Who knows, maybe the GM can do something about it. Mine as well ask them.

I would send a GM ticket. You might get the peice, or you might not. The thing is though that they will look at the logs, and depending on if anyone else reported him or other toons on his account then they will be obliged to do something about it.

Yep.
The people most likely to ninja things like this are the ones who don't have the ability to actually do this stuff themselves.
I agree with the posts above; petition a GM and hopefully they'll take pity on you. It's not like Ony's a top-tier raid anymore; they might say that it's okay based on that.

True. I'm sitting on a ticket right now. I just would love to have that quest reward necklace =\ Oh well, I'm a bit calmer about it now, after chilling with some guildies. Thanks, everyone.

As good as the Ony neck is, there's still always the 232 one in H PoS!

Here's hoping karma (and P. Dawg!) smile upon you and see fit to have it drop.

Wow, what an ass! D:
The GMs will do something since you asked if any loot was reserved. They can check the chat logs and determine that clearly, you asked and he responded that he wouldn't take the head.
Ticket either way, I'm sure some GMs care more than others... Maybe you'll get one that's sick of ninjas too!

Well, I received my GM response last night. And they told me exactly what I had expected. That they generally don't interfere with player loot issues, and advised me to group with only people I trust.
...
/sigh Back to farming H PoS. Luckily my guild seems on the track of getting more friends together so we can at least run guild 10-mans.
Here's to seeing the end of ninjas.

Tell the GM to put some trustworthy people on the server and you'll get right on that!
*keeps her fingers crossed for ya*
