New Skins, Old World!

Well, I've finally gotten onto the PTR, and decided it was high time to do some checking of old faces. Or rather, old faces with a new makeover.
As I was in Feralas, I decided to go take a look at The Razza's spawn point. And this is what I found when I got there:
I have to admit some disappointment. I quite like the old world style. But it *does* have a really interesting look. I think I'm happy to keep my Razza as this newest skin.
Speaking of 'newest skins', I decided to take a look in my stable. And glory of glories: I found another surprise: my recently rescued Olm The Wise:
Being in Tanaris, it's difficult to show the image. But he is now the blue, ghostly figure. It makes me sad in a way. It's like he died to save Feralas. And yet his spirit still travels with me. Oh, Beloved Olm... <3
With the rest of the pets, it seems that my stable has no other changes. And that my burning boar is still 'grandfathered in' in all his flaming glory.
Well, that's what's in my stable! Time now to go on a safari, and let's see if I can't find some old friends in new places. *plops his hat on* Will update this as I come across things.

Nice finds! If I didn't already have my Nuramoc, I'd be taming that beautiful white and blue chimera in a heartbeat.
EDIT: Oh! I heard rumours that the unused White Vulture might make an appearance...no idea what mob would use it, but that's something to keep an eye out for too.

that might explain olm's absence at the moment. And wonderful that that model is getting put ingame!!!
Guess these will be getting moved to the "in use" section soon

Oh no, my brother is NOT going to be pleased at all. He has had his white Olm the Wise (camped him for the longest time) for YEARS. No, he is not going to like this new skin one bit. Sometimes it irks me that Blizz changes long-existing mobs to a new skin rather than just plant a new one somewhere. Oh man.

I really feel bad for my little bro.

Any news on more ant-style silithids?

*Squees* Thanks for the find! Ever since I saw these skins I've been hoping for them to be added ^-^ And now I finally have some rares to camp for horde side.

Ooooooh yes yes yes yes YES!
My main doesn't have a Chimera because I didn't like the skins available, but that white one is just BEAUTIFUL.
And my secondary Hunter collects ghostly pets, so Olm's new skin fits right in with his theme.

I tried a few of the ant silithids in UnGoro, untameable.

First off: my trip into Felwood. I *had* to see if I could find Olm in the wild! Apparently, Death Howl is still out there, and still has the same white worg skin that he always has. No need to take a photo of him; I flew on past.
Likewise, Mongress is as big and brown as always.
So far, end to end in Felwood, I've not seen hide nor feather of Olm. This saddens and troubles me, but I'm going to keep searching for a while. I'm sure eventually, I will find where he makes his roost! I can't think that they changed his skin without putting him back in the wild. But end to end, I haven't been able to find him. So, on to the next area. I'm thinking.... The Hinterlands!

Correction: since I had to pass through Dun Morogh to get to the Hinterlands, I decided to swoop through and see about their tameables.
Bjarn is still out there, and still white.
Timber, on the other hand, still doesn't show anywhere. With his old territory being taken over by low-level gnomes and low level gnome grinding critters, I strongly suggest that he's not going to pop up here. If his pack's been moved, it's been moved away from there. But.... to *where*? If anywhere?

A trip through The Hinterlands brought absolutely nothing yet. No sign of Ironback or of Old Cliff Jumper. So taking a neck-breaking turn around, I'm now headed up toward Winterspring. I seem to recall a lovely icy skin that, if it's going to show up anywhere, would probably show up there.

A whispering hunch in my ear (OK, so it was a whispering by an insider on the board) suggested that I should take my next trip to Azshara. And so I did.
Everything looks to be in place. I don't see anything particularly unusual y-.... oh, hello there! It seems that when Mistwings grow older, they tend to pale a bit:
A much lighter color than the usual dark dusky chimeras. I'd go so far as to call it 'cream'. I think it's a lovely contrast, really!
And in addition, what's this a little further south:
Why, it's The Evilcharr. And he's gone green with envy! So many of the chimera colors filled out. Now I wonder where the orange Outland one is. Ah, but I have so many other things to check out, first! And complete my trip to Winterspring!
In a final flyby, I checked one of the last rares I could think of in the area. Little Scalebeard is still little scalebeard. A blue turtle.

Is the Evalcharr still around? Maybe he uses a new model too XD

O.O!!! Oh goodness! This is all amazing!
EDIT: Any chance the worms in deepholm have been flagged tameable?

oh wow!!!!
Olm did get killed by the horde goblins. I only know this because of where he was is where the goblins are now, poisoning that area. So its fitting he becomes a ghost. :3

Nope. Checked those already.

Time to cross over to Winterspring, and take a look around. My first red dot on the map was one Hell-Hoot. And one Hell-Hoot has gotten a new makeover his own self:
There's our lavender owl! The color doesn't stand out so much on large scale, but I can assure you the difference between he and his 'friends' is considerable.
The Wintersabres still look as they always did (including Rak'shiri), and punching Shy around still doesn't get her mate to be summoned.

So that's a bit of a bummer.
I believe I'm done with Winterspring. Now, I have someone suggesting I should go investigate BeM, which I'm going to go do.
But first, I'm off to seek a suspicion near The Exodar....

Oooooooooooh shiny! Brumeran is still her old self in Winterspring, right? Since you're (hopefully) still there.
