If there's a thread out there, then I apologize. But...it's something I've always wondered. How do you pronounce your character's name? I've seen mine pronounce multiple ways, for example.

The proper "My Way" Way: Ay (As in Way)-Zoo-Nahr (As in 'rawr')-Ah
Other versions: Ah-Zoo-Nahr-Ah

So they tend to make it a short 'a' instead of a long 'a' as I imagine it.

Or take my lock's name: Ray-Vehn-Ear-Ah is how you pronounce it.

So yeah. Just a little thread to get you thinking. Something like that. That, and I feel bad when I mangle someone's name, so I want to see how they do it. >.<

I'm not sure if Vephriel is self-explanatory or not, but in case it isn't it's pronounced veff-ree-elle.

As for me, I pronounce my name Vel-kin-CAR-mah. Although Vel-keen is acceptable too XP

Karma and Kam, you're not the only ones.

I've had guildies in vent use the latter more often. And I'm too nervous to say the other way. My friend and occasionally my dad will use the "Incorrect" way frequently as well. So yeah. Feel free to use either way, I really don't mind. I just find the long 'a' as the 'real' version in my mind.

Uhm, I'm not gonna tell you how to pronounce Sarayana cause well, nobody has ever pronounced it differently from what I do.

Aoani: Ah-oh-Aah-ni edit: now that I think about it, I think I actually pronounce it more like Ao-Aah-ni, with the Ao sounding kind of like the vowel sound in 'ouch' or 'ow'
Iladra: Ih-LAD-rah (Ih sounds kinda like when you just tamed a rare spawn beast and go eeeeeeeeeeh, that vowel sound there)

Tulune; tooloon, long o sound for both syllables.

As far as my Forum name goes: Gim-Lee-in.

Phianth, my Shaman name (across all servers): Fi (as in eye)- anth (like ant, only with a soft 'th' instead of a hard 't')

Galador One of my Druid names: Gall-ah-door

Galadone, my other druid name: Gall-ah-d-own. (as in the word own with a D in front of it.)

Evin, DK name: Pretty much how it's spelled: Eh-vin

That's all of them I can think of for now.

Well, for my main and for my forum handle, it's Sew-chee. Long 'o', long 'e' sounds. For my main alt, Shaon, I pronounce her name "Shay-on".
