WoW Petopia Community

I decided to look earlier to see if I could become a fan of Petopia (or Wow-petopia, or any sort of combination thereof) and did not see a group for this. Am I just missing it, or is there no group/page/etc on Facebook?

If not- we should make one, with Mania's permission of course.

It was brought up a long time ago, and I think most people just weren't interested or even on Facebook. I don't even have an account anymore, heh.

Fair enough -I was just curious. When the forums went down last night I felt a great sense of sadness at being disconnected from other Petopians. I'm not sure if that means I'm addicted, pathetic, or some combination thereof. Hahaha.

I remember doing a search as well when I subscribed to Facebook. I figured there might be something considering the rather large Hunter fan-base Mania has gathered over the years. Didn't find squat.

Oh well. No need to go through a middle man when I already have access to the real thing right?

I think the biggest thing about a facebook petopia thing is that, its a big breach in security and privacy for most people. Thats why people dont use real names, they have screen names.

I actually like the idea long as no one is using it against one another. But what if the forums go down? We'd have the facebook group to keep tabs on incase some updated info is posted.

Yep this was why I was looking for one in the first place. I do understand the need for privacy and not using real names which I also figured was part of the reason there wasn't a group. Regardless, it would be nice to be able to get in touch with people if/when the forums go down.

I would definitely be interested in joining or becoming a fan of Petopia

I don't see how it could be a big breach of security - screen names are a superfluous level of protection against anyone who's actually determined to find out who you really are. Besides, having a Facebook account can be seen as a breach of security and privacy in of itself

As for my opinion about a Facebook group, I guess I'll have to agree with Vephriel - given the fact that I'm not even on Facebook
