So here's my story:

I started camping Loque last Friday. It started out well. After 3 circuits of the basin, once every hour, he popped up among the gorrilas. I hit the ground running, dropped a trap and started to tame. Four seconds in the unthinkable happened: I was killed by a level 85 Dwarf Hunter. He summarily tamed it, spammed /lol at my corpse, and flew away. "No big deal," I told myself, "He won't be back now that he has it." I was wrong. Sunday evening, at 7:05PM ST he popped up again at the exact same spot. Then the SAME DWARF HUNTER flies in and kills me before I can start to tame it. He doesn't kill Loque. Oh no, he's a hunter! He tames her. 2 days later, at 11:10AM ST I was making another circuit of the basin. This time she appeared next to the waterfall with the mammoths. "YES!" I screech, "She's MINE!" Once again, 'twas not to be! Another dwarf hunter flew in and repeated the earlier gank. But, lo and behold Twisting Nether procced! I mashed the rez button ASAP and immediately unloaded everything on the Dwarf. Surprise surprise, a level 85 Orc Warlock working on her Herbalism flies in and sees the commotion. Soon enough, both the Dwarf and I are dead, and the Warlock killed Loque for the achievement. Finally, today (again at 11:10AM ST) I found Loque by the waterfall. A quick /who showed myself as the sole Horde occupant of the Basin. I could only pray that no more Dwarves would arrive to screw things up. None did. Now, I'm the proud owner of one of the most awesome pets in the game.

Thanks, I'm looking forward to showing off Loque in heroics once BM gets it's buff.

Congratulations! That is so lame about that dwarf hunter. I hate people like that - it almost makes you wonder how many Loques he has sitting in his stable, or if he just let the other one go and decided he wanted it again without getting it restored? Who knows. I'm glad you got your gorgeous kitty!!

Grats!! and sorry that you had to have so many close calls before getting your pet. :/ I tamed mine on a pvp realm too, but it wasn't nearly that horrible of a camp.
