You guys on the PTR are doing a great job finding all these "unused" models! TY for that! I am trying to keep up with all your finds so far but have not seen a mention of these beautiful beasts yet. Could we, as a community, try to help you figure out where these un-found unused skins could possibly spawn and get you guys looking?

Please let me know if these have been found already and I have missed them. I will remove that image if so.

1.
I already have a name picked out for this good looking fella if he is ever found! Has anyone checked to see if this isn't a new skin for Arcturis?(wishful thinking as I don't care for the ghostly aspects of Spirit Beasts all that much, seeing their eyes through their arse is a bit weird)
2.
Well one would assume that this bear would be found in the colder regions of Azeroth and quite possibly near water?
3.
I am thinking that this one would be found underground/cave with magma/lava near by?
4.
This one is labeled silver but to me it looks more like a gem/crystal. Im not sure about new content thats coming but I could see these guys crawling around an instance with lots of jagged crystal or gems coming out of the ground.
5.
Ahh, the Ice Cat skin! This one has had me scratching my head for a while now. Not sure if this would be a replacement skin for a current beast or an all new mob placed in a current or upcoming zone/area.
6.
From what you guys have shown us this will be the new Olm skin but, do you think they will put him back in his same area or have him "haunt" another place?
7.
Another frost/ice area/zone comes to mind when I see this cold calculated beast. I see them escaping from somewhere cold that is now getting hotter due to the current circumstances.

Now I don't know a lot of the back history of most of the pets and maybe these images fit in a storyline some where. If so please feel free to educate me on any and all tamable beast story lines. I hope all of you can share our thoughts on where these guys might show up and help the search team on the PTR uncover their mysterious locations!

Lets have some fun with this! You never know...that crazy idea of where you think one of these guys could be might just be!

The crabs are actually from Jewelcrafting figurines. They've been used....just not for us.

I strongly suspect that the blue bear model was developed so that a ghostly version could be derived from it in order to make Arcturis. Also, I would miss my Cheshire bear

But, the white bear model would be nice to see implemented - I'm seen plenty of complaints about the old bear models that we have now, especially the cleft palate on the un-diseased models.

#1 is nowhere to be found at the moment. And to be honest, I'd be surprised if he ever does come to light. I'm pretty sure that it was something used as a 'starter' for our ghostly bear skin.

#2 is so close to the other white bear that, to be honest, I don't think I'd recognize it if I saw it in the wild. Becuase of that, I doubt that it'll be easy to identify it as 'OMG new skin'. And I equally think they're looking to use more distinctive skins.

#3 and #4, as mentioned, are JC recipes. I'd be surprised if they actually turned into tameable critters.

#5: No sign, but I would be *very* surprised if we didn't see it at some point. It's a very distinctive color that hasn't been used by *anything* I can think of yet.

#6: Yes, it's Olm. No, he hasn't shown up in his old haunts in Felwood yet, unfortunately. Maybe with the next build! I would *SERIOUSLY* doubt that he has been permanently removed, though. After all, there's still rare spawns that need to be (re)placed in Hinterlands, Hillsbrad, and EPL to name a few. There's time yet!

#7: This is the Sapphire Owl figurine. Again, with the crabs, I would be shocked if they actually made it tameable.

Well we are dealing with Blizzard here, who is to say they won't pop these guys out of their trinket slots and into the world somewhere? I scanned the wowhead JC database and looked at all of the crab figurines there but didn't see either of these 2 pics. Which ones in particular used those 2 images?

It reminds me of #1, if you ask me. Hence, it would appear to be another spirit beast model that got scrapped..

Well there are 2 green ones like that one that are tamable so I wouldn't be surprised to see a blue version somewhere sometime! (trying to be optimistic here lol)

It wouldn't surprise me to get the crab ones at some point. The ruby serpent skin was originally from a JC trinket wasn't it? We have many stone/gem looking skins on pets, so I wouldn't rule those out completley. I also think the ice cat will make it into the game eventually. It's a beautiful skin!

Those crabs are actually critters in Vash'Jir as well. They are hatchlings of one of the Crab species. I remember seeing them, then wishing they were beasts and not critters.

Well so it was. Hey, I'm very happy to be proven wrong on interesting new models.

The bears are actually quite dramatically different... The shading and the face particualrly. Still on my fly overs been checking 'em but it's the same old bear model sadly :/ Checked snow mogglets to no avail as well.

.... snow mogglets. I think I love you.

Jokes aside, yeah. I've been checking the Winterspring cats as well for the same reason. I suspect that we may need to wait until a future patch (as in, full 'patch' patch) before we get that skin to show up, though, unless a totally new rare is put in somewhere. Or unless they re-re-skin Rak'shiri or something.

Actually they're ingame on wild mobs. Hint hint; the coral crab babies in Vash.

Maybe Blizzard has yet to introduce the Coral Crab parents?

Also, no, if Arcturis changed into that... skin. I would RP mine died a horrible death and just never look at them again. As much as you want it, just because you hate the current Arc doesn't really make it right for it to be changed. I don't mind if there was a second SB bear somewhere, but replacing Arc with that.. no.

It was just a question...I also never said "I wish they would change it to this skin". Just wondering if it is being used is all.

But on a side note, I would like to see more Spirit Beasts that looked more along the lines of Loq and not the ghostly, see their eyeballs through there butts, look.

Personally, I'm hoping for the ice cat skin to come into play with all these additions. (Or even as a future spirit beast! Afterall, we haven't had a cat spirit beast skin since Wrath)...

On a side note, anyone remember Hawkbane? I always wonder if he'll reappear someday.

I do! I remember reading about him and trying to find him only to be told that he was removed from the game!?!? I was bummed but then saw that the cats in Winterspring were changed to look exactly like him.(then I didnt want him anymore lol)

I don't think any of those skins (other than Olm) are in the game yet, but who knows? I was pushing for the jc trinket ones to appear in Deepholm in the future. Both have the metal/stone look that would make them perfect for the swamps there.

I thought the same thing. I checked the cave in the PTR, but there's just big black cats there at the moment. No one named Hawkbane. So he's still gone! Maybe one day.
