Hai I have a purple-blue scarab that I just cannot think of a name for. I've always loved the colors--reminds me of the DK tier10 set here:

But anyway, he's a great tank pet, nice to look at, cute face (LIKE SO):

Basically, I want a name that is masculine (or at least not feminine), as he's quite the tough bug. It could be something to do with color, or darkness, or bugs, or tanks, I don't care what--but looking for that name that fits him just right

Ciardha: Gaelic name meaning "dark".
Khepri: Egyptian God often depicted as a scarab beetle.
Ualtar: Irish name meaning "strong".
Agron: Celtic name meaning "battle; slaughter".
Savas: Turkish name meaning "war".
Murasaki: Japanese word for "purple".

Cobalt hit me, but then I remembered I have a dog by that name (the blue mage hound)!

I may go with Khepri, although since I don't like the ending-in-vowel, I may Wiki it and use a variation

I am glad this thread came up because it saves me from having to post one about my amethyst beetle. Great timing!

Tahlian tamed one of the turquoise Uldum beetles, and given his occasionally Puckish sense of humor, named the beetle Lennon, after another, more famous Beatle.

Lennon and his little beetle angry-face have become great favorites in my guild, especially for helping lower-level guildmates with dungeon runs to catch up.

Since you like Khepri, Kheper is the Egyptian word for beetle.
