Any one have a Tauren tailor?
Hey all, just wondering if anyone out there in WoW land has a Tauren tailor? Out in Borean Tundra there's the one Horde quest where anyone can ride a magic carpet, but I don't know if this is really how the cows ride them. I thought most races just sat down when flying the carpet? If this is acurate, it could easily be the single coolest mount, lacking nothing but surfing music.

No races don't sit down when they ride a carpet. They SURF.Mr. Perfect wrote:Hey all, just wondering if anyone out there in WoW land has a Tauren tailor? You don't say. I've only ever taken notice of Blood Elves riding them, and they do some sort of weird kneeling-to-loot pose.

Yeah, I've only seen surfing. On some races, the surfing pose does look kinda... bent forward, I guess. But they're not sitting.

That might be the female BE stealth pose. I've noticed the classes tend to use the not-moving stealth pose on any of these 'standing' mounts (my rogue did it on the crocodile you ride in Sholazar). However, the female BE's have this bizarre stealthing-but-not-moving pose in which they actually crouch down and put their hands on the ground, I think.Mr. Perfect wrote:You don't say. Most of them are just crouching-but-still-standing poses, though.

Ah, ok. You're right, the stealthy lurk stance on the BEs is what I'm thinking of. I must just see a lot of them, since they've got so many class choices that pair up with tailoring. Tauren tailors must not have been popular when they never wore cloth before.
Now how can I get a surfing tauren...

Make a priest! That way you can justify making it a tailor!! I actually found tailoring immensely useful while I was leveling my priest, she could almost always make pieces that were upgrades.

Don;t let constraints like this bog you down!Sarayana wrote:Make a priest! That way you can justify making it a tailor!! I actually found tailoring immensely useful while I was leveling my priest, she could almost always make pieces that were upgrades.
I have an orc hunter tailor cause I wanted a surfing orc and no one is going to bog me down by sterotypes!
That and while the cloth pieces can sometimes be upgrades, there's better things to interest you.
Bags

Also Op- Tauren druids DID have to have tailoring and wear cloth for alot of their stats as well caster leather? What's that? And one of the best raiding boomkins on my server during TBC was a tailor/LWer.

Ah true, the bags...
I've seen a few people say that they're tailors on their DKs/hunters/rogues/warriors/whatever because of the flying carpets. Frankly I can't blame you all, though of course you'll never look as badass as I do when I pop shadowform. /flex
Side note: I remember the whole caster leather issue, it persisted will into t9.
What a pain it was, trying to justify rolling on a cloth drop because it was BiS. Fortunately I was in a very understanding raid group, so it was more an issue for me personally, feeling like I shouldn't have to be an additional roller when we already had plenty of clothies wanting the item. Unfortunately I hear things are tough regarding caster leather again...
