So I'm going through Mount Hyjal, doing the quest lines, my past searches for the elusive volcanic turtle fruitless. As I fly over the lake of magma to kill the twilight broodmother, I decide "Eh, why not" and do a search pattern. At the point closest to the broodmother, who should appear on my beast tracking (NPCScan was out because some twerp had his pet Terropene out the other day and was screwing with everyone) but the main magma master himself!

I drop to a rock, activate Ancient Hysteria and quaff a Potion of Speed, dismiss and have the most nerve-wracking four or five seconds of my gaming life. And, with 7K health left:



He was mine.

On a split-second whim, I found him, when a week of searching proved useless.

Congrats i remember seeing Terrorpene before the creation of my hunter it just clicked that i had to have that pet even tho at the time i didn't have a hunter.I looked Terrorpene up and when i got to 81 i did a quick search for him and found him.After multiple deaths i convinced a healer to help me, finding a healer isn't hard when you have a small pocket of gold coins.Terrorpene is the perfect pet for a hunter, it's look cool yet it isn't exotic it's a turtle therefore a very powerful Tenacity pet.Overall a very good pet for soloing when you need something that can take the damage.I hope every hunter can get their hands on this beauty.

what level were you at? mentioning the speed /hysteria i would assume lower (81-83). At 85 when I got terrorpene I didnt have to do anything fancy and just simply hit tame beast with full health (which was nice). he still brought me down to about 20%

Fresh 84, had leveled a little bit earlier and was nearly done with Hyjal, so Terrorpene was a congratulation gift from the zone Didn't have resistances, he was hitting for around 10k, was touch and go there for a second, but the Hysteria + Speed pot really cut down the tame time.

I'm trying to decide on a name. My top choice is Gamera, the giant flying fire-breathing turtle kaiju.

LOL the same thing happened to me with my krush, aotona and loque was just flying by then.. * insert loud npcscan/silverdragon sound here.. * war crums for me**

gotta love it so much cause it just scares the daylight out of you! lol. and for what royi said about fly-bys are the best, i swear it is true at times there have been pets i camp camp camp NOTHING... stop do random fly-bys.. BAM insta rare xD
