Ok, I have the opportunity to purchase the Reins of the Crimson Death Charger for 50k. Now I know this may seem a little crazy, and to obtain this gold I've had to borrow a little, transfer an old toon (in which I've done already <.<) that had a few k left on it and I'll just be able to scrap enough together.

That said I am also and very very avid collector of mounts and know that this one is not all that easy to come by. I also know that these can sell for excess of 100k on some servers. But then now that LK is a lot easier to do, it would be easier to kill LK 25 and get one of these (if you have the Shadowmourn, quests and all)... but then who the hell does LK 25man anymore?

Is this really the bargain of a life time, or am I just wasting my money (I really don't spend gold on anything else apart from the odd gem/enchant) and getting too excited, it's just a shiny pony, that one will be able to get later on...

...Options?

I'd say go for it. If you can really scrape the gold together, why not? Gold isn't that hard to come by if you put your mind to it, but that mount is.

I would def. do it. I love that mount, but will never have the chance to obtain it... I just can't get 50-200k (yes, that can be the range on my server, my AH is more shaky than Seizure Man from Cyanide and Happiness...), ever, It's physically impossible. Even with WoTLK I could NOT get the 4k I needed for Epic flying, it was only after Cata Quests was I able to do So.

Still it's a hell of a lot of gold... but I guess one can't take it with them.. : P

It's not like you're buying just the mount; you're paying for the convenience to not have to make shadowmourne, etc. Gold is easy nowadays anyway!

I was saving for EXACTLY that, but none have popped up on the AH. So now my money is being saved for the Vial of the Sands. Gold is so ridiculously easy to come by atm, especially if you level an alt! Go for it!

wow only 50k? was this insider trading???

if i had 50k i would drop it for that mount for sure

This is a ground-only mount though isn't it? It's not a ground/flying as say the Headless Horseman's mount, is it? (Because if it is, I'll need to consider spending some gold...

)

Well kind of... the seller was in my guild, but the had it on the AH for 60000 buy out and 50000 bid, and had no bites yet, so was very kind to sell it to me for the bid price : )

Yeah, tis only a ground mount. But I still will get good use out of it everyday in Tolbard if nothing else

On A52 people are trying to get 85k+ for it. It's a ground mount. One guy has been trying to sell his since before Cata hit. He still has it, no one wants it. He keep over pricing it.

Huge grats on getting it; my guild got 3 for ~50k each, so I'm glad to see you got it at a very realistic price to boot!

i wish they would implement more ground only zones. I feel like you dont experience the zone as well when you can just fly over everything (makes it easier though).
