I think I'm in the right part for this?

My dwarf hunter has finally hit 80, and is set to go to new places, but beyond my red Devilsaur, I'm not sure what would fit with her to check out new places and "worlds".

Her personality is outgoing, friendly, and she has an uncanny knack at commanding loyalty without trying, due to her kindness and helpful nature. She is also not afraid of any creepy crawly whatsoever, so bugs are okay. And she is apparently good at wearing things that are red (plus it's her fav color next to black)

I know she's only 80..but I would love to take any suggestions on pets she should take with her and her devilsaur into new places , plus any for when she hits 85 later on.

She has 24 stable slots..so plenty of room! Thanks ahead of time

You should toss a posting on the 'random pet thread'! I've had a lot of fun trying stuff out from there. It's made me look at new pets a *lot*. People's experiences might give you some ideas, too.

If you are in for a hunt, I highly suggest a spirit beast. They have some nice abilties that they come with -Spirit Heal ftw. But only if you are a beast master.

I'm not the best person to ask, I go hunting for pets for the challenge of the hunt rather then what buffs or which is the 'best' for a situation. But you can check my pet list for both of my hunters in my siggy. I rather like my collections.

She is a beast master..and literally right after I posted this and logged on to where she was in grizzly hills, there was Arcturis just waiting for me under her helicopter...what a surprise that was!

I second the recommendation for the random pet thread. While I didn't end up keeping mine, it was a lot of fun. I'm planning on doing another one.

Try different pet families too! My personal favorite is the Shale Spider I use it everywhere and have it spec'd so it kind of a dps/tank hybrid.

I recommend spirit beasts -or if you want something that would look (in my opinion) seriously awesome with your hunter - go with Harakiss the Infestor or Ainamiss the Hive Queen. They ROCK!

Post a screenshot of your character? I find going with something that flows with the hair/fur style/color of a character makes them seem more attached. I have a rusty brown Tauren hunter and her companion through the majority of old world was a red hyena that went wonderfully by her side. In comparison I have a bald short tusked troll hunter and the pet I found that went well beside his gangly self was the bleached white worm.

Or you could go by habitat. My troll's secondary favorite is an orange tiger for the jungle theme. So you could pick for your Dwarf a nice bear, boar, or even a chunky wolf. I imagine a bear personally, but that’s just the WoW Vanilla Cinematic screaming at me. When I think of a Dwarf I think of chunky muscular pets, things that could easily overpower the character, but the character demands respect so fiercely that anything can comply.

Hmm, I took a peek through the pet gallery to look for any creatures that have a "commanding" presence, yet also maybe gentle or calm, and loyal.

I think rhinos fit this bill pretty well! They're large and imposing, yet their eyes are gentle and they have a lot of fluff (I think the reddish brown would suit you):


Turtles would probably fit that description, too. Plus, their family skill is fantastic for soloing tougher mobs. Ghamoo'rah's appearance would probably fit you best. I think he has a wise look in his face:


Cats, but more specifically lions, I think are beautiful and make quite an impression with their big manes. Sambas is probably an obvious favorite, but I still enjoy the look of the old-world lions as well:


Lastly, the larger worg-style wolves would perhaps make a nice addition. They're stocky and fluffy, and being canids, could likely be described as pretty darned loyal. I think the bi-color worg or the red worg would suit you:

ooo, you should get a black beetle from ZF--they have red markings! It's nice to have a tenacity pet for the new zones.

I did a review of the black beetle recently in the random pet thread with some pictures of him. A very nice pet. Just didn't fit with my hunter. I was still sorry to see Zeke go.

Dwarf hunter? White dino ftw or a white bear--something icy and strong. But wait you like black and red...and have red dino....so, big white wolf. Snarly looking things and shaggy.

Hmmm. Fun and outgoing? It makes me think of foxes and their "play" ability! I especially like the red one, and they're in the dwarf area of Loch Modan!

One that hasn't been mentioned is the Red Demon Dog. While it looks a little grr grr menacing, it has a red body to match her favorite color, and it has a blond mane to match her, giving a visual link between them.

Another link of colors of red and gold is the orange dragon hawks, though those seem a little... frilly for a Dwarf in my opinion.

I agree with a lot of the ones mentioned above too though, like the rhino and the red warp stalker, these are just my additional two cents :3

You could tame the sapphire hive queen (which is orange) OR you could challenge yourself and tame Ayamiss the Hunter which has the same orange skin and is a boss in Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj.

Well, let's see:
You have turtles, as Rhyela suggested
Then, you have Karma's idea, wolves and bears. Personally, I think that a black bear would work great
And a grey-brown wolf would also fit the red-black theme nicely
My old standby (and Miraga's suggestion) would be to get a boar; they loove exploring!

Once you reach 82, you can tame a Stonecore shale spider

I still say get a SQUEE!!!

Ok...just saying. That Spongebob picture is easily the most awesome thing I have EVER seen. It sums myself as a hunter up completely and I am not ashamed of that.
