Ghostcrawler... interruptable hunter or buggy mob?

I know this post may have come up before - couldn't find any (recent) ones though and didn't want to revive an old thread.
I was having a problem trying to tame GC earlier today ( 2 hours ago ) but every time I would cast Tame Beast, he would hit me with nerfbat and it would interrupt me.
I had my druid tank friend pull & then cast, but didn't help.
I tried looking online but got stuck, I was wondering what I was doing wrong? do I have to be far away or close up, I have seen videos of people solo taming, what the heck do I need to do differently?!
Orrrrrr is it just bugged.

Nerfbat didn't interrupt my tame of him. Not sure what went wrong there, maybe a patch/hotfix made it into an interrupt at some point ?

No, that can't be intentional. Well, that stinks; sorry to hear about it!

well, good to know I wasn't missing something at least, will try again later.
Maybe open a ticket...maybe they will see fit to give me the pet
doubt it though!

Was your druid friend there the whole time? When you say
"I had my druid tank friend pull & then cast, but didn't help."
just make sure he didn't have aggro, because outside aggro will interrupt taming. You can't tame a beast unless you have full aggro on it.
Bar that, I'm not sure what else could be wrong

You could try stacking haste and starting a tame at max range if it persists maybe : /

That's what I would think is the issue. Tame Beast takes a *very* small amount of threat. Much smaller than a druid casting Faerie Fire, especially if he's in bear form. And Nerfbat is cast on *everybody*. Not just the person with aggro. I learned that the hard way when I decided to try downing him on the PTR.
So yeah. I would say your problem is the druid having threat.

Yeah I agree- nerfbat didn't interrupt my tames at all so either it was bugged or your friend had more aggro than you.
I hope you can get it worked out!

Best bet is to do what I do, get them to stack HoTs on you them swim way out of range. Hell could put Thorns on you to keep extra attention as well.
