I want to get another pet but I would feel kinda bad for putting my other pet in the stable. I would like to hear from other people that have had more than 1 pet. The reason I'm asking this is because if I hear from some people it might make me feel better. You also might be thinking that it's just a game who cares.

I'm pretty sure most of us have more than one pet. >.> We're all about our pets here, and since you can get up to 5 I always have that many on my hunters.

You can still use the pets you put in the stable, you just choose which one to have out with you at a time.

I do understand! For the longest time it was just me and my kitty, but the call of the stable slots was too much... And now I have five pets!

As mentioned above, you can totally still use your stabled pets once you pull them out, so it's better than some games. Consider it a vacation for a job well done, perhaps?

I'd say 99% of us have more than one pet, probably. Sometimes I feel bad for not using Tetsusaiga since I've had him so long, but at least I haven't dumped him, either. Actually I do find having more than one pet useful! I have my turtle that I use for questing most of the time, my silithid for PvP, my devilsaur for dungeons and taking screenshots (hehe), and my new spirit beast for when I just wanna change it up a bit. I think having more than one is really fun! Apollyon knows he holds a special place in my heart, so he doesn't mind taking some R&R in the stables for a bit.

Heh. Clayburn works so hard on raid nights, I feel bad asking him to keep an eye on me for just an everyday heroic. So for those occasions, I pull my "best girl" Daishar out of the stables and run around with her, knocking out quests, the odd heroic, holiday achievements...just hanging out in Dalaran.

She and Tahlian have been together for a long time...and sometimes, best friends just need a chance to hang out together.

I love all of my pets!

I miss having my dear Ursa at my side, but it just makes it that much more special when I do get to have him out. And he loves getting to relax in the stable and get fat and lazy.....silly ol' bear.

Oh god yes, I can't imagine having only one. Back in the day, of course, you had to have multiples, to retame and learn skills for your main pet! Now, most people will at least have a couple, to cover more than one family of pets.

Personally, I can spend hours on petopia, just looking at pictures and family skills and play around with what pets I like. For example, I've decided to revamp my main's stable. Three new pets to level to 80! Can't wait to get crackin'! On my level 21 baby hunter, I already have three pets, and I love them all dearly!

I know what you mean, to be honest. My hunter Silinrul ran with only one pet from level 34 to 80--my Scarlet Tracking Hound from the Scarlet Monastery. I tried to use other pets a few times before Silinrul was totally leveled, but every time I did I just got unhappy and felt like I was betraying my poor scarlet hyena, who'd been with me for a looong time.

In fact I didn't start actively using other pets until both Silinrul AND Jia (the hyena) were level 80!

Now of course Sil has a full stable, and I switch around every day depending on who I feel like using. But I totally understand what you mean

I have 2 right now, A wolf and a cat, but tonight I am getting a third cause i finally opened my third stable slot. So tonight I'm taming me a blue Turtle. I cant wiat to see how he does tanking for me questing.

I have all five slots. On all three Hunters.

My personal favorite pets are:

Cursed offspring of Har'Koa
Grimtotem Spirit Guide (on Saturo)
Warp Stalkers
Ravagers

Oooh you're going to love him! ^^ Turtles are amazing tenacity pets, they're awesome for solo levelling.

I felt bad when i left Humar in the stable for retirement until Pitch is removed, but when i got my Shattered Warhound from Ramps it was nice having a new companion by my side. It's good to swap between pets. Get 5 pets that you love and then alternate between them, if ya want to anyway. It's not all about dps, although people pretty much think it is about doing over 9000 dps...I remember when people played WoW for fun. Those were the days.

But i have Humar, Sewer Beast, Shattered Warhound wolf and a Core Hound (Although i rarely use BM, i'm used to survival after i respecced when i got into an uber-casual raiding guild). I mean, i realy should start bringing out my Crocolisk and level him up to 80 though...Just i love using my Wolf!

I have a snow leopard right now and thanks to your posts I'm going to tame the winter wolf I wanted. My favorite families are wolf, cat, spirit beast, and devilsaur When I get to the right level which I'm far away from I plan on getting the black devilsaur.

Has anyone abandoned a pet?

With much heartbreak, I've had to let a few back into the wild.

That was after the pet changes, though. Back in the day, you HAD to tame certain pets in order to learn their abilities to teach them to your own pets, so pet abandonment was pretty much built into the system. It was quite terrible.

Are bears good in PvP I no this is not on topic but instead of getting the wolf I was thinking about getting a bear but I need to know if there any good for PvP.

Not especially, no. I love my bear, but not for PvP. Swipe tends to break CC.

If you want a tenacity pet for PvP, the popular one atm is a crab.

Bears are good for PvE tanking, though.
