So im after a couple of Madexx colours (the first 2 in the following list). RED > BLUE > GREEN > BLACK > BROWN.

I've camped him pretty heavily and seen him 5 times now.

1st = GREEN - tamed so at least I had him!
2nd = BROWN
3rd = BROWN
4th = BROWN
5th = BROWN

Can't believe it lol, everytime NPCScan goes off I get excited and its brown everytime! Its like he knows its my least favourite of the lot and its all he will spawn for me

Man this guy is turning out to be a royal pain in the ass with no end in sight *sigh*

The other colours do exist right?!?!!

Welcome to Madexx RNG-hell, I hope you enjoy your stay as much as some of us others have.... not.

And yes.. he spawns in the other colors... randomly...

(btw... RNG is "random number generator" meaning... there is no way of knowing what you'll get next... no matter what...)

I am sure you read about that very same thing happening to me... it's a curse, IMO.

I'm still chasing Green Madexx.Seen him 3 times in 24 spawns.First 2 green ones were corpses...as for the 3rd had a lowlife Worgen Hunter sic his Chromaggus on it when I was mid tame.Killed it on me.Last 7 spawns I've had have been red,red,red,black,red,black,black.

Definately a curse. The only blues on BR I've heard of - one is a pet and the other was dead yesterday when a fellow hunter flew over while looking for any colour except bronze. Guess what he got last night... yeah, you guessed right....

A bronze.

He tamed it anyway because it was the first one he'd seen alive.

I'm sorry to hear that. Yes, the other colors do exist. It's also possible that he's respawning in other colors when you're not there. Not that that makes you feel any better, it's just that I doubt he's spawning in bronze every single time he's up. Good luck!

In other news... I am still in Uldum... been here since 12/18... wanting green.
Tamed a brown around 12/29...
Then I tamed a Black Madexx two days ago (20th)...
The next spawn was 5h30m later... brown.... it went to another hunter.
Missed the next spawn more than likely...
Next spawn at 11:40am (21st)... another black... I did a search and no level appropiate levels in area, and no one in guild... I had to leave for work REALLY soon so I killed him to get a kill time.
Then today... I log on... do a few circles... and BAM... brown spawns... I whispered a hunter that I saw that was camping him... no response... so I invited him to a party... party invite declined... so I got pissed and tamed me another brown.

Can I get a shot at another color, Madexx? I mean... really?

I am getting really lucky at logging in at the right times... or something is up.

Hi, Uldum, I didn't miss you. But Madexx summoned me back.

Crazy idea here. Since it seems that Madexx is taunting you, showing up in the colors you don't want, while showing up in the least wanted -in your opinion- color, have you tried "not wanting" the color you really want?

Crazy idea, I know. But sometimes, it works. If it seems that something is out to spite you, like this, pulling a bluff can work. Call it reverse psychology if you will.

You: "You know, I think I really want a brown Madexx. Yeah, brown is the color for me."
RNG Gods; "What's this? He/She wants brown? Hah! Very well, put up green next. Muhahaha!"

It can backfire, true. But who knows?

Sochi, I tried that today. Flew around saying "any colour but blue."

Guess what I got.

Green!

I now have every colour except blue.

Green is very pretty though, maybe I'll change her hair from purple to green.

I think Madexx has replaced cats as my weakness.

I have been camping Madexx since Dec.18 and I have probably seen him about 15-20 times either dead, just tamed, or the four times I have seen him and tamed/killed him.

The most I have seen him has been in the last 3 days... which is 3 times (4 if you wanna count the time I found out that another hunter tamed him while I was on my DK)... and I still have no clue about his spawn timeframe or if it is random or anything...

I have a list of various times of the day he spawned and there is no pattern. He doesn't spawn more in the morning, evening, or overnight... he just spawns when he wants to. The shortest time between a tame and another tame that I know of is 5h30m, and I know that to be fact because I tamed him and 5h30m later a guildie told me that a brown one had popped just then and a hunter tamed him...

I honestly have no clue how anyone can see him spawned 24 times... I am astonished that I have seen him as many times as I have and I have been there the least amount of time within the last three days... and the last three days are the ones I have seen him the most just by logging on...

He does seem to spawn around the time he was last tamed or killed... give or take 30min... Examples: tamed 2:35pm spawns again at 8:05pm; tamed/killed 11am spawned again at 9pm. I have yet to see him tamed/killed at like... 2pm and then spawn at 7:17pm... but who knows... I didn't see every spawn.

Hmmm, been in Uldum since the 15th of December.Camped him for 22 days 2 hrs 48 mins according to /played at 85.Blue,Brown,Red and Black I had all tamed by the 26th of December.

Your realm must have like... 5 people on it.

Unfortunately it doesn't.Madexx just isn't very popular as a pet on Khaz'goroth.Everyone wants Sambas or Karoma here.

So a brief update, I managed to run into Madexx again tonight and he was........ *drumroll*............

Black. Lol.

So out of 5 colours, the only 2 I'm after are the only 2 I haven't seen spawn *sighs*. you couldn't make it up

Really not a huge fan of any of the 3 colours i've seen, Green, Brown and Black. Still, its nice to have seen another colour other than Brown!


As i've posted in another thread, for anyone else who is after Madexx, all of the spawns ive seen follow on from the last at the same time of the hour. There is a very small give and take, like a few mins. But after I've seen him then I know when to check. On my server atm he is spawning at 40 mins past, so I've been checking when i can at 40mins past the hour and it's proving pretty successful. Just remember, if you miss a couple of spawns this timer will have moved on a bit coz he isn't always tamed/skinned straight away.

Over the last 3 weeks ive been after him he first saw him at just before the hour, about 58 mins past, and in those 3 weeks his spawn timer has slowly moved on a few mins a time and has come almost full circle again (like i say, hes on 40 mins past the hour now). Hope this info helps! It will stop you camping all hour every hour and save some of your sanity!
