Lynxes. Lynxes are my favorite cat model in game. I think we should have more Lynx skins. Maybe a rare black Lynx in Ghostlands named Shadowpaw for instance. The normal lynxes around that area are called Ghostpaw Lynxes so the name makes sense. The model was originally used as the nelf catform but as all of the druid cat forms have been updated it should, in theory be free to use. A lot of areas have low level indigenous rares nearby but Blood Elves do not. (Spotted rare leapard in Nelf starting area, Dark tiger rare in darkshore, Timber and polar bear in dwarf starting area, whitish bat in Undead area, etc)

Also..white Lynxes. I was hoping to find them in Northrend when Wrath came out but no such luck. Grizzly Hills would be the perfect place to add Snow Lynxes.

I'd love to see a white one with a blueish mane. Would be awesome

I agree with you. I have seen a picture of a black lynx somewhere here and I really want one!

Yeah, I wish so too--it's such a nice model, but the skins are so limited. I posted a pic ages ago of art mockups of new skins, but a few plain solid colors wouldn't be amiss!

Those are beautiful.
I would tame them all, but I would need to make another two hunters, 'cause I already have too many cats on my "biggest" hunter. My baby hunter have a few, mainly the new riding tiger skins, and a lynx. :p

i love the lynxs also but i feel they need a make over, maybe to the new nightelf drood models. i swear im the only alliance guy on my server to have a red one lol. everytime i pull him out people think he is some kinda rare lol

Hehe, I remember the first time I got a red lynx on my hunter when she was still pretty low level. I thought it was pretty, and I knew it would be a challenge to get there without dying. My bf came with me on his druid and I died a couple of times, but I got it in the end. I wanted on of the cubs 'cause they were so small, but to my disappointment they grew :O Anyway, I kept it for a while, but released it when I came across actual rares. I decided in my early level 40's or something that I must find Loque when I was high enough level. And I did. My baby hunter now has the red lynx, it suited her better.

EDIT: Yeah, I was alliance at that time. :p

I prefer the appearance of the old models to the new (I was very sad when they changed the nelf cat models), although the old ones are in dire need of cosmetic upgrades. I feel like the older ones looked more powerful, catlike and feral--the new ones' tiny fangs, round flat-topped heads, sick-looking mouths and squinted eyes (this last in particular) just don't look as wild to me, and the overall form somehow seems far less muscular.

If anything, I just want the bright red one to be better in detail. Right now, it's incredibly low-poly compared to other models, and looks horrlbly out of place in the new world. Most everything is so crisp and beautiful, but the poor lynxes have jagged lines and uneven looking seams. An update to the model to match the new world would be great, even if it copies the look of the new Night Elf cat form. I wouldn't mind that one bit for the red skin!

Got a red one for my lowbie hunter a bit ago. Only died once at level 30 running through EPL to get him. While I was in Ghostlands I kept having flashbacks to when I first started the game, (my big hunter was a belf to start) and how I creeped through the ghost lands convinced I was going to get killed by a mob of hungry ghosts or something. Kept expecting a Resident Evil moment where they would jump out of the corner or ground or something.

Ah good times!

Anyways, love the idea of a black lynx. Not sure I care for the other three that were made up-lion color looks too much like a lion and stripes and spots seem unnatural.

A white one would be gorgeous too!

Or make a rare one in the night elf blues and purples and toss him in the BElf starting areas, make it a quest mob to kill and tamable by hunters who want him I'd say.

i could go for a black and or white model. im all about the dark color pets lol. goes with the gloomy look of my char

I also loved the Lynx skin it was so unique and pretty but just like some others I only want 1 cat and Im keeping my Humar ^^

I prefer the Plain black or plain white really. Dont really like the flashy colours on the manes. That is the one thing i didnt like about the red ones personally (although i know it is reminicent of red xi from Ff and so many love it). Im not a troll nor a nelf after all 8)

But ya its cool others have been thinking it too.

i do enjoy the Lynx models as well, When I played my Belf hunter (before i changed my ally to a goblin) I enjoyed using the Lynx the most, I think I tamed her first out of the few pets that I had.

There should be a rare named Kumar the Pridelord in Ghostlands

When I started my Alliance hunter after getting my Belf hunter to 80, I despretely wanted a red one! So at level 10 I ran all the way from Ironforge to Eversong Woods. Getting through the Plaguelands was not fun, lots of deaths. But people always wondered where and how I got her. Sadly she didn't fit my blue/purple/green coloured Alliance pets theme so she was replaced at 80. But it was fun to get her.

I would love a white-blue-ish skin, because the lynxes are my fave cat models and I would really like to have one on my Worgen hunter.

Black and White models seem to be the most popular *smiles

Just curious, can you make one that is solid black where it don't turn lighter on the underside? I'd love to see a solid black pet xD
