Long, LONG time lurker, first post here.

Anyway, Ive been Hunting for the Blue(1st) or Black (2nd) version of this bad boy for over a month. I have only seen him six times in the wild, four of those have been dead.

Two Red, tamed one, but just doesn't 'click' for me the, other was dead.
Brown once, tamed.
Green twice, dead.
Black once, dead.

I have spent several 18+ hr hunts and NEVER seen him. Just yesterday, I spent 10 hours looking for him after another friend told me he was tamed nearly five hours before I logged on. Never saw him. So, here I am again, Twenty five hours later, been on for three, and no blasted sign.

Why must you cause me so much pain little buddy? Ive NEVER had a more painful hunt then this, not in six years. I only want to give you a decent home with lots of food, love, and a endless supply of bad-guys to kill.

OMG! I'm so sorry! My brother tamed Madexx yesterday on Kul Tiras! It must have been him! I have the blue and have given the blue away twice - don't worry for some reason blue and black seem VERY common colours for Madexx on our server! What's your character name and which faction? My brother has a list drawn up of would-be-Madexx owners who he /w's when he finds one he doesn't need (hes got learning difficulties and is collecting all the colours!) Hopefully we might get u a Madexx soon (he's on regular camp - you might have seen him!)

Yeah, Madexx is one of the most painful rares to hunt for. Keep your chin up, you'll get him in the color you want if you just keep at it! I happily settled for the bronze one I just got because of the circumstances that accompanied him and now he's very dear to me.

At the moment there's only a guildie who is still waiting on his Madexx but if he isn't on I'll get my brother to hold him and I'll dash across on an alt. He seems to be pretty active at 12-3am and 2-5pm from what I've seen.

Between us we have seen all colours (red, brown, black dead alot) except green. I wanted green SO much but my brother found a blue and now I love him :3

Yeah, this guy is a very painful and difficult camp, which is odd in a way considering he's a scorpid which isn't usually a highly sought-after pet family.

I wish you luck in getting him!!! Getting a past spawn time helped me quite a bit.

wake yourself up randomly through the night to do random flyovers.

IE wake up at 3AM do a flyover, go back to bed.

wake up at 5 AM do a flyover, go back to bed.
etc.

The time I can play WOW usually is from 5AM-7AM, thats been the time where flyovers have netted me Sambas, Karoma, Ghostcrawler, and Burgy Blackheart (for his handsome hat http://www.wowhead.com/item=65665

They, sadly, have never helped me. As stated earlier, the last three spawn times that I have seen or heard of have been 7:45 pm, 7:15pm,(both last week) and 9:15(sunday morning). I have come back at every time I have been able to guess when he should be there, but he never is. He really just seems to spawn whenever he bloodly well wants to, any logical spawn timing be damned.

knowing my RNG, Ill only ever see empty sand or a dead body.

well, Ive pulled another all nighter, 6:30 Central/server and no spawn. seriously, where is this guy.

I understand your pain with Madexx. Sasrei had great luck with him though, He for some reason liked to spawn around the same times so I usually knew when he was up and more often then not he was. But for Saon hes become a difficult little bugger, he pretty much spawns whenever the heck he feels like it and in whatever color you dont need or want... he seems to have one color he spawns less in for some reason from what ive seen.
GL on your hunt! I am also looking for green madexx but less then usual since I got my blue girl yesterday and am quite content for now, also got black and red who I adore but the green is eluding me.

I've noticed that for my camps, he seems to have a fairly steady window - but not 100%.

He has never had a steady window for me, its always been totally random. Hell, I havn't even seen him in over a week.

Got Black Madexx on I believe it was Friday. My friend Candrium got hers nearly 24 hours earlier. Just keep at it and you'll get him eventually. We'll keep an eye out.

Wish the same could be said for the TLPD that I have been camping FOREVER.

You will get him! Just keep on looking and you will get him in the color you want hun! He is really stubborn, and probably out of all the cata rares.. he seems to be the one who likes to get killed the most.. hes just on a way too busy spawn path, with people questing, herbing/mining/skinning. He will pop for you when you least expect it.
