Will pets transform? I have a Vale Moth currently, will she turn into the new grey model?

Yes, I believe any pet whose individual mob is changing skins will have the new skin implemented instead after the patch. The only time this wouldn't happen would be if they introduced a brand new NPC ID to the new versions of the mobs, but I don't think they'll do that.

Interesting. I’m happy because I like the model, but I have a storyline for her, not sure how I’ll explain away her transformation.

You could definitely work the whole metamorphosis angle. These are WoW moths, perhaps they go through a cocoon stage even after adulthood? x)

You could always say that she had the disease, and it leeched her color out, but she fought it off successfully thanks to your hunter's ministrations?

Now I don't remember from which place I got my beige moth--guess I'll find out when the patch hits live
