WoW Petopia Community

This morning when I fired up the Petopia forums and hopped into one of the forum listings I didn't recognize the layout that greeted me. Instead of the traditional every-topic-row-is-the-same-height-as-any-other, they now seem to scale willy-nilly. Well, based on the topic length in the last column, which wraps on long topics and grabs extra vertical space as a result.

Has the first column had its width increased and thus squished up the last column, or has the last column been limited in width? Or did it perhaps used to truncate the topic line to make it fit?

Call me obsessive, but I really liked the clean consistent look of yesterday!

Honestly, I didn't even have this 'problem' until later into today. What I mean is I was on earlier and it was clean cut, then I shut my comp down for some CoD, and when I came back it was the way you described it.

Its been happening on and off. I think Mania's messing around with settings.

I accidentally refreshed the theme templates (and who the heck thinks that storing theme changes in the database is a good idea?) which removed the hack I made the other day to show the title of the most recent post on the forum list. While I was putting that back I decided that I should make that hack more consistent across the whole forum and added it to all the places where threads are listed.

Then I went off for a nap.

When I came back I realized how absolutely silly and redundant it was to list the title of the most recent post on the topic list. So I've just now removed it.

Anyway, that's what was bloating the topic rows. Sorry about that.

I'm working on a theme locally with Petopia colors and such, but in the meantime I've been hacking things live as they come up. This is an object lesson in why that's a bad idea.
