Yeah, I'm at it again. I want a red Madexx to complete my stables.

So now I sit. Reading Calculus for Dummies and my Mechanics book.

You'd think I'd learn my lesson! But alas, the bug bit (No pun intended) when I stumbled onto the bronze getting some cinderbloom and archaeology. I tamed the bronze and strangely enough, she's grown on me. I named her Caramel. Now I just want red to finish my pack 'o scorpids!

I have been telling myself I'd only tame the blue one because that's the one I really like, but truthfully if I do find Madexx in any colour I'd probably tame him and get that same itch...

Haha, yeah. Oh well. Gonna bake cupcakes and read while I camp. Not gonna let 'im get me down. I did wish a BE hunter out here luck, she seemed nice enough.

I just can't go to Uldum these days without swinging by his area. I haven't gotten the bright idea to make myself camp him again, but if I ever tamed a second one (well, technically third.....), I don't think I'd be able to stop. Good luck!!!

Woohoo! Just as I was about to give up and go to bed, I hear AWOOOGAH! I look to the center of my screen - oh, can it be! Oh it IS! A lovely purple eyed bug! And I almost lost the tame since I fumbled to target it and knocked tame off my bar then landed on madexx. But I got 'im! Tamed at 9:59PM server time.

Wow, you are very lucky, indeed! Would it be too much trouble to post pics of each one? I can't help it, I love Madexx. :3

I have all 5.Taming all of them was a nightmare I wouldn't wish on anyone(looking at you Mister make me sit through 26 spawns Green Madexx)...and yet I still fly over his spawn points.Or go through the Uldum portal in Org when I wanted to use the other one next to it I have noticed that on my server at least, Madexx has been spawning 3 hours after Armagedillo.Cyrus the Black spawns 9 hours after Madexx and those silly camel statues spawn 11 hours after Armagedillo.

I just saw the skin of this scorpid. I suddenly understand the need after this. ^^ Guess its one more rare to add on my "wanted" list.

Now with pictures of the journey!

It started innocently enough. I liked how Madexx's blue skin looked on Petopia! Why not get me one? It beat fending off 99 million people for Sambas (And I really feel for anyone camping him. The folks in general ranged from nice to completely awful. )

So there I parked. I'd gather cinderbloom, answer questions in general and so on. It took me a couple of weeks of fairly intensive camping to meet... Grimm! I met him about oh, 10PMish? Server. I thought 'fwee~ What luck! Only a couple of weeks!' I love his classic rock look and he's sneaky in pvp.

But something wasn't settling. I liked Grimm. I was grateful to have found Madexx. People were happy for me... But the bug kept biting.

I wanted blue or green! So I went back out and parked. And parked. It's bad when most of General chat recognizes you at this point.
And along came Malachite! Army scorpid of doom! I just like how earthy this one is. Caught me by surprise one evening (5-7PMish).

Green! O Glorious Green! I had my rainbow madexx!

... right? I did lots of pvp and TB dailies alongside Grimm and Malachite. But something didn't feel set.

So back I go. Just a blue one, I promise myself. I really, really like blue. I kinda went back and forth on it - I felt like a greedy butt-hat for it, since I swore I'd be happy with just a greenie and a black!

... so I put on my butthat and went back to the desert.

Few long, long all night camps later, along came Azure! (thinking of changing the name sometime, but not sure) I don't have a whole lot of personality set for this one yet, but I adore how pretty and elegant blue is, gold tip and all. Maybe they like painting?

Well, I'm done! I thought. Then the RNG proved me horribly, horribly wrong. I was out of herbs and not in the mood to fight for whiptail, so I did a lap to grab some cinderbloom, yatta. Suddenly as I start over the wastes, AWWOOOOGAH! A bronzie! I recalled giving one away to a good home, but this one was waving! I tried to call a hunter over, but no one showed interest. VERY WELL. DEHTA would be disappointed and so would I if this beautiful bouncing bug ended up a kill.

So, about 10 seconds later, Caramel! The sassy scorpid. When I saw her spawn, she was waving her pincers without a care. And so she is in this picture! Bronze is growing on me. It has attitude. I'm done right? But then I recall homing a red, and seeing a friend's red Madexx... I really like those eyes! And the burgundy color! So elegant!

I'd never even LIKED scorpids until now. Now it's like yay! Scorpid. And I even see other scorpids as more beautiful now that I see them wave and watch them attack. Funny how that works.

So, with the bug firmly attached to my heart, I set out again. Once more unto the breach! I'd heard the horror stories, witnessed people quietly going insane (Along with me) waiting for their dear Madexx to appear.

... why was I doing this again?

The answer came at about 9:59PM, as I was sadly doing my final lap before bed. That's it, no bug for - WOOOOOOOOOOGAH - and who was that wriggling their pincers and tail as if to say 'Nuh uh! I'm right HERE /wiggle /wave' in the sands?

RED MADEXX. I almost died. I knocked several buttons off my bar trying to target her in a frantic horror (What if someone questing came along? I saw quite a few...! O hurry! Dang where's my tame button!) and ended up landing on the poor bug. Must. Trap. OR TAG. THEN TAME.

And in a moment later, whaddya know.
Still thinking of a name. Maybe Ruby, Rose, Gemma, hrrrm. The strangest part is, a part of me is sad it's all over. Much as I hate camping, there's a deep satisfaction seeing NPCscan go off and 'There's my baby!'. But that's a very tiny part of me (Alongside with the part that enjoys filing income taxes. HORF.). I am glad to be done with it, aside from aiding others. If I see a madexx, I will find him a good home. I promise that, Mr. Scorpion.

Yeah. I feel kind of greedy and rude for it. But I like them. Then again, I use them! And adore them! And I think my spawn timers are fairly steady, so it benefits other people (And I always call someone if I have that color) too.

... and yes, it was crazy. I don't think I have that much camp in me anymore. *explodes* That said, SQUEES!

Hmm, I think the red and the blue suit your character best appearance-wise, the black is pretty nice too. The green left me a bit cold (sorry!), but that picture of the brown sold me. What a subtle difference in that one's personality. Like you said, Novi, Caramel has attitude!

I vote for Gemma for your red lady, she looks like one.

Thanks guys. I <3 crawlies. And yeah, bronze has attitude! She's so sassy going 'ta da! Look this draenei I found!'. She really won me over more than I thought brown madexx would.

"SQUEES" as in going for Jadefang(s) ?

Nah, it's just me randomly riding the good vibes. I'd gotten to give away a couple of Jadefangs while I was camping on and off this past week. :3 Now I can peek in more often and find more big and small squees homes. So more good vibes all around! I think. That or I'm still discombobulated.

Edit for Clarity: I am lucky to have tamed Jadefang in an epic almost an hour long tame involving Novikova nearly chewing her nails off, one completely awesome troll huntress, at least one dead paladin, two naked exploded night elves and a lot of hopping around.
