After 4 days of failed attempts to find an alive Madexx I decided to post on the forum here. 4 days ago I logged in around 2:45pm Server time on Arygos and managed to tame Sambas after only a day or 2 of camping on and off. I decided to go and see if Madexx was up as he is the last one I need for cat rares! I picked a spot and opened up wowhead to check peoples comments and by the time I tabbed back over he had spawned under me and another hunter grabbed him!
Later that night I decided to go do my rounds to find a dead Madexx killed by a Worgen DK

2 days pass before I see a spawn of him again, this time an alliance player managed to tame him on the other side of the spawn area wich leaves me at today. Sitting here wondering when he will spawn, if he will spawn.

How long have you had to wait for your Madexx tame?? I will post a SS when I DO manage to tame him!

I think two weeks before I saw a Madexx at all, and tamed bronze. A week later I got black, which I ended up falling in love with. So for the Madexx I ended up keeping? Three weeks.

Ive been lookin for over a month.

It took me a couple of weeks to even spot one. My first was black! Several days later, green! I gave up for awhile, then a couple weeks later - blue because I was at it again. >< And I stumbled onto bronze. Which re-ignited the itch. Now I have all of them, so I'd say be prepared for a long haul unless you get very, very lucky and I consider myself rather lucky (Someone besides me tamed the first bronze I saw, then I let someone else take the first red).

You could try this... See if u can track down Armagedillo and just set your alarm for 3 hrs ahead.It's worked like a charm for Madexx hunting on my server.

Varethyn only took 5 seconds! ...To find the green one's corpse Armed with a time I went back 6 hours later. 2 hours of searching netted him the black Kwillix will also be starting his search for the green one soon. It would make a lovely addition to his more-or-less-purely-green team.
Also at the time I was only aware of the tameable rares, so I hadn't bothered searching for the others

I spent around 25 hours total camping Madexx over around 2 weeks, and I only got him because of a very kind random person and a very observant (and AWESOME) guildy who noticed the guy looking for someone to tame him
Got me the blue one, LOVE him to bits

I have tamed him a couple of times, but never in the color I want him in...

The first Madexx I saw alive was a green one that an Undead Rogue jumped and got the claim about 1sec before I could have... I explained to him I would give him 1000g if he would vanish and let me have him... he kept telling me "No" I /begged him...and he said "No"... so after the GREEN Madexx was dead he informed me that he only dropped a grey item and no mount... I was like, "WTF Really? You thought it dropped the mount?!" He said that he wouldn't vanish because he thought I was trying to jack the mount from him...

After I explained it to him that it doesn't drop anything other than that grey item and he lost out on 1000g (I wasn't so formal when screaming at him at the time), he said sorry and actually gave me the Tear of Loyalty. He really had no clue that it didn't drop gear or a mount...

Since then I have yet to see another green one alive...

Been camping for the green one for almost 6 weeks (started on Dec.18th)... Aotona took my 7 weeks of non-stop flying around when I was online to get the bird... I have a feeling the a green Madexx will be a longer camp.

We'll see.

unfortunately they aren't linked whatsoever as far as spawn timers go. But heck you might as well do some circles to look for other rares in the area if you're looking for Madexx. Just dont stray too far (make sure to add Mysterious Camels into NPCSCAN too) http://forums.wow-petopia.com/viewtopic ... ilit=camel

well my luck continues to fade. A human hunter just managed to tame madexx on the opposite side of the map from me . Luckily she was nice enough to come and set off my npcscan for that small glimmer of hope. haha I know the exact time it spawned so I will run with that!

Aw. But it is good you have a timer and can grab some sleep, etc.

*cries* went to get a sip of water and come back to NPC scan blowing up...turn around and i see him dead...In green...the color i want....shadow priest didnt even ASK general chat....*sighs* guess ill see if he spawns in 3 hours....

Agh, I know the feeling. A couple of days before I found my Krush, I missed him by mere minutes. Got up to answer a call of nature, returned to a corpse. Keep at it, you've got a timer now!

i don't think you needed to call him a "ass"... that would probably encourage him to do that again to you later on (if circumstances arose). he said he didnt know it wouldn't drop anything and he did get to it first.

it still sucks on your part, but name calling wasn't warranted, its just going to add to the "huntard" epidemic

Name calling wasn't needed but after trying to find the guy for 2 weeks now and this being the first time npcscan/silverdragon dinged saying he was up I was upset. I let it get to my head and took it out on the poor guy that didnt look anything up lol. Yeah least I have a timer. hopefully he's back up at 1:30am again

My hunt for Madexx has finally come to an end! 12:48 server time I am now the proud owner of a brown Madexx!! Picture to come soon!
