I tamed the Karoma last night making me the proud owner of every spirit beast in game. However.. I don't know what on earth to name him. Idea's ?

Remus, Lupin, Padfoot, Sirius... *I'm not a Harry Potter Fanatic, I swear... Ok maybe I am*... xD

Maybe Goldrinn after the Ancient?

Hmmm Goldrinn sounds kinda cool.

Some NPC names are saved as pet names (and yet others get through freely -_-), so Goldrinn may or may not be reserved.

I think the easiest way to assist in naming is knowing if you have any sort of theme/naming style for your hunter you wouldn't mind sharing.

I don't really have any pattern to my pet naming..Something unique that stands out for naming Karoma ? I named Gondria "thestdcat" because his name sounds like some STD you picked up. Karoma is pretty cool of a spirit beast. I noticed today he moves nothing like the rest of the wolfs do and I love this! He acts and moves just them shaman ghost wolves thingy they bring out.

There's Fenrir/Fenris, Apollo, Freki, Hati, and Ragnarök as some wolf-en god names that I could come up with quickly.

Sirius is reserved. You gotta have the first I with a funny dot.
And it should only go to a black wolf anyway, as should Padfoot!

I named my Karoma Procyon, after Alpha Canis Minoris.

Here's a list of brightest stars. You can find the ethymology behind the names too.
And here's a list of the current constellations.
Here are natural satellites of the Solar System.

I ended up picking Ragnarök. =)

See, but my thought behind the Sirius Black themed names is that Sirius was killed, but Karoma is a Spirit, so maybe his spirit lingered around?

Another idea is to have it be your Patronus, xD

Patronus idea - v. nice.
But his spirit didn't linger. Remember, Harry even discussed it in OotP with Nick. I was ever so sad about this.

I'm assuming most, if not all wizards spirit lingers in some form or another, otherwise I doubt the Resurrection Stone would work, even in the haphazard way it does.

But... Wasn't the hazard with Rez Stone that it returned the body to life, but soulless?
That's what I always assumed. I didn't go deeply into the subject matter.

Unless you're talking about that time Harry summoned those spirits before facing Voldemort.

No it returned the spirit/essence of the person to whoever held the stone, but they were always blurred, and not altogether very happy, as they were in a realm where they didn't belong anymore. If it returned the body to life, but left it soulless, it be a Inferi.

Either way. Very very sad about both Sirius and Remus. My favourite characters. I ditched my star naming theme for 2 wolves to call them Moony and Padfoot, even

Yeah, I have an armored Worg named Remus, and my main wolf (diseased skin) named Lupin. I plan on naming my Karoma Padfoot, and if they ever make stags tamable *prays to blizz*, then I'm naming a white stag Prongs.
