Stable Themes!

I've noticed that a lot of us have themes going for our stables now, at least on some alt hunters. I just thought it'd be fun for everyone to say what themes they use
Cerah
lvl 85 Orc Beast Master
No overall theme, but a partial. All her spirit beasts' names have something to do with dreams.
Toeph
lvl 23 Tauren Survivalist
All her pets are named after characters from Avatar the Last Airbender
Lydeea
lvl 43 Forsaken Survivalist
Tim Burton naming theme, and black or white colour theme (with a couple exceptions)
Leata
lvl 30 Dwarf Markswoman
Transformers naming theme
I was also thinking of starting up another alt hunter, who will go out and tame all the starter pets for each race.

I like this subject, and find it interesting to see what others pick for their hunters.
Mine are:
Mozag - All her pets are either red, orange or a reddish-brown. I also choose animals I feel suit her race best, though with some execeptions (like the sporebat) because of the family skills. They're named violently because of an RP thing I did with a previous Troll character of mine. Suitably violent names were found from many of my favourite bands, and some I made up myself like Killer and Shredder, though I'm sure I could find bands with these words in their names, if I really wanted to.
Lazuli - For her I picked colourful pets, often yellow or purple, though she will also have a couple of spirit beasts, which will slightly break the theme, but I guess I'll have to deal with that! Names are gem or money based, such as Coin, Bijou, Coral, Amber, Moolah, Macaroon, Dollar, etc.
Lomelinda - Her pets are white, grey or blue, and also what I feel fits a Nelf best. She has far too many cats. The names are after flowers and trees, mainly.
Alburga - Her pets are what many would choose for an Undead. But since I hate the Undead models I can't make one, and felt a Worgen was tackily spooky enough to pick all these rotting creatures, spiders, bats, etc. for. They are named after old writers and poets I personally like, but whose names are elegant.
Finally, Ethelswitha is my "trashbin" character, to who I'm giving the pets I really want, but who don't fit in with the other four for whatever reason. She also needs all pet skills, so it's not perfect, but I'm pretty happy with what I've picked so far. The names are based on booze. So far I have a Malt, Tonic, Mary (Bloody Mary, y'know), Slammer and Rum.

I don't have a theme for my hunter's pets - tailoring them into box sets never really sat right with me. They usually run around for a good while without a name until I find one that clicks, but I will say the overwhelming majority end up with sciency/engineering names. :P
I roleplay a bomb technician, so her main bro is an armored boar named Torque. I have a Gizmo, a Parachute, my newest love Vitriol and I'm still waiting for the right pet to name Samophlange. I'm looking for a Spanner and a Whizgig and I will probably cave and name something Goggles as well.
Others have more/less silly names like my spider. He's named CC, but thanks to my brilliant friend(who also named Parachute, come to think of it) his name is actually 'Cupcakebutt Cuddlepest'. I have a silithid named Dog and a dog named Silithid. I have a polar bear named Corg, my felboar is named Maevis and Karoma will be named Spider after I find her. :P My first wolf and oldest pet is named Umbergore, and though I don't use him as much at all anymore he still has a special spot in my stables. I also have Peaches the warp stalker and Rice the hyena, who was tamed to match my friend's dwarf hunter's white hyena Bean.
As for colors, it depends entirely on what I like. I have a lot of purple pets(the purple felboar, Nuramoc, etc.) and brown pets but it's not a consistent theme.

My main hunter doesn't have a theme to her pets or their names. However, I have a lowbie night elf hunter on a coworker's server that I'm just playing around with. Since she's nothing serious, I've decided that all of her pets will be cats. Which is a bit trickier to plan out than I anticipated, as there are more cat models than stable slots.

Vasken (
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/a ... vasken/pet) ... Doesn't have a theme. D'oh! Would love to make a theme for him eventually, I'm just reluctant to blow a large amount of gold on certificates of ownership!

Tend to go for blue/white pets, but there's quite a fair few jarring exceptions. Whoops!
My second hunter, Piano, has a themed stable in terms of names! (Found at:
http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/a ... /piano/pet)
Before the race change she was known as Musical, but desperately needed a fresh start and Piano was the only untaken name! All of her pets are named after musical terminology, instruments and concepts I've picked up during my studies. For example, Rallentando (Gradually slackening in tempo; slowing down) the turtle and Waltz (a triple time ballroom dance) the snake! There's a few pets still with frightfully unmusical names however. Can't get ahold of any certificates to rename 'em! >:C

Well I never even thougth of making a themed stable on my first hunter, nor my second. I do however like to focus myself on rares only, or unique models and skins. I've never tamed something in the wild that has multiple copies of themself.
I did however name both my Terrorpenes after volcanoes: Vesuvius and MaunaLoa.
I made my third hunter as soon as I found out about 406, and she will be in charge of taming the new pets and the pets I've wanted on my other hunters but never had the room to.
Also I have a little undead somewhere who I plan on having deseased/undead pets only, and a Nelf who's only gonna have cats

Araela, my blood elf hunter has a Star Trek name theme for her pets.

Sadly, Kirk and Spock are reserved names, but I do what I can to incorporate what names I can!

Out of my three hunters Sersallia is the only one without any real theme, unless you count rares and skins I like as a theme... Niori is going to have only black or white pets with Native American names, and Nastas is the only exception to the color rule so far. Reiza is the a little dwarf with bright red hair and loves red or flame like pets (this was Sers' theme up until she ran into Humar) and I'm really having a blast with her little troupe I must say. Next up for Reiza will be Cindersight (Sersallia's old dragonhawk), a pretty little red lynx, and once she gets high enough Sers will pas Hadren on to her and get Meza back (RP thing, don't ask ;p).

I guess I am the oddball here, I have no theme for my pets, just what looks good to me

I do kinda think about having mini groups that could fall into a theme though, but never actually go through with it

Varethyn doesn't have a theme unless you include unique/rare-unique only pets

No name theme, just picked what sounded best at the time. Frostfang is The Razza, and so will be getting his unique skin next patch.
Kwillix has a green, or mostly-green, team with some skins that come close enough to match. Freki the wolf is the exception as I was going to get OCJ but decided to get Ripp and Deathmaw instead... though I might allow myself to let my worgen pick them up instead now I know OCJ's coming back

Mythical names. Need to get a certificate for Ripfang though.

Wow, you're right. I know there are a lot of cat hunter pet fans here, but surely everyone can agree that having over 25 skins is enough? I'd prefer to see more choices in some of the other families which only have 3-4 to choose from.
But on topic: my main currently has a gem/mineral/geology theme; one of my alts has red and white (hmm, may get black also) pets and a poker theme; and other alts' themes include plants, food, drink, and characters from a novel.

My two hunter's Shaon and Sochi have no themes to them. They both just pets I've wanted, the hard challenging tames.
So when I rolled my goblin hunter, Matalina (last name Copperpin), I decided that her pets would have the name of tools and parts. With the exception of starter crab Deeps, she has been joined by Bolts the Boar, Rivet the Wolf, a windserpent called Wires, and Chisel the raptor. There's a croc called Tinsnips, Sander, who's a fox, Forge, the Demon Dog, and Anvil, her mastiff and personal favorite.
Future pets for Matti, who's quickly climbing the level ladder, may include Winna's Kitten (Ryobi), a worm (Spanner), and Terropene (Furnace).

My hunter on my main server, Vitani, doesn't have a theme to any of her pets that I run with, but since I took her name from Lion King 2, I've been trying to name her pets after various Disney characters, or suiting fictional animal characters. Sometimes the names don't follow that pattern if I happen upon a pet and a name pops into my head right away for that pet.
My baby bounty hunter will have mostly red and black pets with short, harsh sounding names (ie Thrash, Tyrant, etc).
My black-furred worgen huntress will have all white pets with mostly simple names. I see her as kind of young (around 16ish) and naive so I don't imagine her to have long, complicated names for her pets (she has a spider named Snyder the Spider, for example).
I'm thinking of rethemeing my troll huntress on Nesingwary's stables. Currently she just has whatever, with no naming pattern or anything, but it could be interesting to theme her.

Most of my themes end up being color-based. I was toying with the idea of trying a "wanderer" theme for my pets on my blood elf after naming my starter pet Gypsy. But.....I have a hard time trying to find a pet for a name. I have a much easier time finding a name for my pet.

Gazini -
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/n ... gazini/pet
Level 50 Troll Huntress [MM]
Gazini has sort of taken on 2 themes. Firstly, her pets are predominantly based off of Haitian Vodou loa, and some African gods. Then I decided (since she still had many free stable slots after obtaining all the pets I wanted for her), that she'd be my Crocolisk collector as well. I plan on attempting to tame every croc in game that has a name. So in other words all of the Rare crocs, and also quest-related/boss ones. Yes that will mean I'll have duplicates of some skins, but they each have their own individual character.
Spiders -
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/n ... piders/pet
Level 60 Undead Huntress [SV]
Spiders is going to have one of each existing spider model in the game. She currently has all but two...the lava tarantula which is waiting on Rekk'tilac in the patch, and the grey bone spider that is level 76.

Spinne's stables aren't really themed ... just mostly blue/purple since I tend to like running around with things that match my char.

My little Kuptai's naming his pets after Firefly chars. =D

On my Night Elf, Galadone, I use a Middle Earth Theme. I only tame pets that remind me of places within Middle Earth, and name them such.
Moria-My Ghost Saber, his color, snowy and quiet. Plus, he's dead, much like the mines and dwarves of Moria.
Fangorn-My Beloved Clutchmother. I saw her, and instantly thought that Fangorn was a perfect match. xD
Isengard-This is my Raptor. I'm not entirely sure, but based on new Isengard, and Saruman, he seems cunning, smart, but lethal and deadly at the same time.
NĂºmenor-My Blue/azure purplish Moth. The Numenor were a mystic, beautiful and powerful race, that resembled a common human, if not for a few differences. Much like the moth that stands out, but is lost in a see of pets in comparison to others.
