Herro! I was wondering, for those of you who own Bayne, would you mind posting screenshots of him? I'm trying to decide between him and the blue demon dog for my baby hunter. In some pics I've seen, his mane looks rather dark (which I like), and in other shots it looks almost greenish. So I'm hoping to get a few pics of him (in different places, with different lighting, etc.) to get a better idea of what he looks like so I can hopefully make up my mind.

I do have this screenshot from the Cataclysm Beta, not sure if it helps since the location is Tirisfal and you're probably looking for alternative settings.

I will say he's very pink...the body and blue mane remind me of cotton candy. >_>

Hmmm, he is rather pink, though my skin is kinda pinkish-purple, too. Blargh!!! Thanks Veph! ^_^

Ooh, from the link you just added to the first post I do think he'd match very well with that character. The skintones are almost identical, and while his mane is a lighter shade of blue, it's still blue like the character's hair.

This is quite possibly my favorite pet. Thought I'd share a shot.

After thinking about it, I think Bayne will fit in with my RP very well. I had already planned to get "a" demon dog (was undecided on which one though). Being a night elf, I don't typically see them as befriending creatures like that. But Niara finds her yet-untamed demon dog lost and alone in the woods, cursed, half demon and half beast. She takes pity on the poor creature and with night elven remedies, is able to keep his mind in a more dog-like state of mind, and also soothing his physical pain. If she leaves him on his own, he'll surely turn into a full-fledged demon and be lost. He is fiercely devoted and loyal to her for saving him from his inevitable doom, and she is very protective over and loving towards him because she feels no one else would have given him a chance. :3

Sorry, no one asked for that shpiel (or however you spell it). I've already thought of a name for my demon-dog, too - Kirottu. It's Finnish for "cursed". I also think I like how Bayne's eyes are green, it gives him a more "lively" and self-aware sort of look, as opposed to the blue dogs whose yellow eyes seem to have a more "hollow" appearance to them. /shrug.

Mine doesn't seem to be as pink as everyone else's. Could be the lighting, I'm in a lighter area than the other pictures.

No pictures here, I'm abysmal with screenies. Besides, I don't even have him. Buuut, I think you'd work really with Bayne, because of your similar colouring, like Veph said.

Besides, I love your story for them (was going to do something like that with him and my Tauren hunter, until I deleted her), and his name is, naturally, excellent.

I agree that he's a fine choice for a night elf huntress! I considered him for a while on Kalliope before Pygmalion moved in. The colors match quite nicely with the pinkish elves.

His body color is VERY subjective to the lighting that he is in to me. He can look dark purple-pink to a pale Night Elf flesh color at times, depending on where you are.

*giggle* To be fair, though, that was in Cataclysm Beta and it wasn't a pet I was planning on keeping or anything. I was going around checking on all the demon dogs. (and I didn't have any of my wardrobe on my test copy character :3)

Any particular reason why you are considering the blue demon dog? He really doesn't match your character at all in my opinion. Me, I think that Niara should make the long trek over to Tirisfal Glades for her demon dog. After all, not only is Bayne having the internal struggle that you described, but also the Forsaken are becoming even more ruthless and he could wind up becoming an 'experiment'.

Once you've rescued your demon dog, I'm sure that I speak for most of us in asking for some nice screenshots of the pair!

Agreed! I demand screenshots of him after he's been rescued.

Sure thing! One thing that bothers me a little is how their jaw is hinged, or whatever. Rather than opening and closing straight up and down, it's like it's tilted or something. Hard to describe unless you've seen it. But it's not enough for me to release him or anything like that. I really like his color (though I wish my hair matched a little bit better, but I'll live ), I especially like his eyes, and I really adore how he runs. It's almost more of a "scamper" than anything, it's so cute!!! Admittedly, I'm having a difficult time getting used to him, being a demon hound and all. He does have a rather unattractive appearance, but then there are other things I really like about him. I'm sure that given enough time, I'll grow used to him.

My brother and I actually had a pretty fun night. I tamed Bjarn on a whim (still can't really get into bears... ) in Dun Morogh, we got killed a couple times by the new Deathguards on the border of Arathi Highlands and Hillsbrad Foothills. We boggled at the size of the black bears there, then my brother got the bright idea to pester the enormous yeti king...thing...then promptly got jumped on and squished (while I was lmao). We killed the Lost Son of Arugal and Bolgaff in Silverpine, and then found Gorefang which my brother tamed. Then not even five minutes later I spotted him again...weird. We killed him that time for the loot (I figured if he respawns in mere minutes, he wouldn't be missed...plus, being lowbies on a new server, we have no money and no gear ). Finally we weaseled our way around more Deathguards and made it to Tirisfal. Bayne wasn't in the Solliden Farmstead area, so I felt sure someone had killed or tamed him before I got there. But I checked the lake at the Estate place, and sure enough, all by himself (just like in my story, OMG!), there he was!

I agree about the weird jaw thing, but I tend to think it gives them personality. I absolutely despised that model, and when I heard that the demon dogs were becoming tameable, I sort of played around with the idea of trying one of the blue runed ones out, since I'd admired their colour before in The Nexus. But, running around on my old Tauren Hunter, I was in the E. Plaguelands for whatever reason, and a green, feisty little one came and bit his massive ankle. I was so impressed, I tamed him. His small size and mad dash towards enemies, same as the cute little jump thing, sold me on the animal, and though my Tauren changed, I decided to get the green doggie for my Goblin. They are firm friends, and though I find the skill pretty pointless, I'd never let Goldie go!

In other news: you probably know already, but there is a Nelf haircolour which is pretty much exactly the same as Kirottu's mane...

Then again, I LOVE your dark blue hair.
