Right, HERE, is a link. To, a picture I'd drawn this morning. Problem is, I just don't feel proud of it. I look at other pictures and think ''I'm not good enough.'' So, what have I done wrong? Thanks to anyone who can answer me on this xx

Edit; Wrong link. Heehee. http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2qb9h14&s=7

Well, if you want some tips, I think you could make it look better if you cleaned up the lines a little. Other than that I'm not really sure. You might have gone a bit over the top with the eyeglow, too.

But how do I get my lines smoother / straighter without a tablet? x_x

See the girl in my sig? I did that with a mouse, and the lines are all fairly straight. My secret is overkill resolutions. The non-shrunk version of that picture is, I kid you not, about 4000 x 6000 pixels. Working very zoomed in allows you to be a bit shaky when drawing.

I struggle zoomed out most of the time, but I'll give it ago. Still haven't got a left-handed mouse either! ;/

You dont need a tablet for 'smooth lines' most of my line art is done via a mouse most popular programmes will have a 'pen tool' (photoshops name)
I know Gimp has one to there are alot of helpful videos on youtube and step by step guides on how to use the tools
It does take time to get use to them so dont judge yourself to quickly :)

Most the stuff on my DA page os done using a mouse a Tablet is nice but I personally only use them for colouring.
Just remember we all have our own style in drawing :)

I'm just confused with the pen / path tool. You're technically copying what you did before ?

Pretty much, yeah. Try tracing your old lines with it.

Oh, and so me general drawing tips: Emphasize the female figure. When drrawing you typically want to draw breasts a bit bigger than normally, waists a bit thinner and hips a bit wider. I think you might have made the neck a bit too wide.

Well, I'm officially pissed off. I just finished my belf, copied it and pasted the white layer into a new gimp file. And GUESS WHAT? I DIDN'T SAVE IT. Sh*t.

Saturo tips ... for some cases yes but each body form is different, hourglass, Pear, Apple and Board. You want them to look normal so normal size breats and waists would make more sence. Sticking just to WoW you would look at ingame models and judge what classes as normal for them you dont want size 0 drawings no one really likes them anymore.
Ok for a UD yeah they might be a size 0 due to the whole dead thing :P but keep them as a hourglass give them some meat on their bones atleast D:
Later on I can do a few sketchs on body forms and such but to lazy atm /dies

I'm not saying that you should be unrealistic, merely that it's common when drawing to try and emphasize the female figure. You can still have any actual shape, of course, I was just talking overall. If you look at random drawings you'll see what I'm talking about. :)

Image
Spoon/Pear/Triangle: Bigger bottom than upper body.
Inverted Triangle: Broader shoulders than hips.
Rectangle: Pretty plain and flat curves.
Hourglass: very curvy, hips and shoulders are same size (kinda)
Diamond: Waist is the curvy part
Rounded: Rounder around the hips and waist.

A 'chart' I guess I use it alot, then again I stick to chibi to avoid this stuff B:
I could do a step by step chibi if you like?

THIS is the Draenei of awesomeness. Does this look better? :D I forgot the blushing but *shrug* No reference, from scratch. I always start with the special features of the race, so I started with the horns and built it up. If it's a human etc, I would start with the head. After drawing, I go over with the path tool and delete the first layer, remove the alpha layer and then add in missing details. After making another layer I'd colour with that layer, merge both together with the final colouring and save. I do colouring by free selecting (lassle-thing tool) an area then paint brushing with a really big paint brush in the opacity and colour needed. I need your opinions and critisizmmmmm! ^_^
