MMO champion has revealed a new mini pet with a remarkable skin! It made me wish we could have a spirit beast with similar skin. Any thoughts on this? It would be my dream pet to have a devilsaur with this skin. Would be cool for an eagle too.

Ooh... Actually, I think modelhacking a Devilsaur to have this skin might be possible... Some guys managed to turn the wolf model into Alexstraza, so...

Perhaps we could have a celestial spirit bird called Cygnus?

Is it just me or is that the same model as the dragon mini-pet from the 2008(?) Olympics? The one you had to win a BG to get?

And I'll be honest, I don't like it. It looks...lazy. Like someone could have just slapped that together in 5 minutes (though I know nothing about programming or 3D modelling or anything, so I'm an uneducated twit with an undeserved sense of opinion, lol).

I think it look simpler because of the lack of well skin but the appeal is that it a constellation dragon =D And yes it roughly the same model a the spirit of competition but thats not unheard of.

As for a spirit beast with that skin im hoping for a serpent either wind of cobra but it could be anything really.

It is- this model has been used three other times [for red, green and blue]. It might not be the complete model mind you, either. Well I hope it isn't, because this has a chance to be such a darling little pet.

Its the same model as the olympics non-combat pet but with a beautiful constellation look. No word yet as to how to get one, but I hope its not the TCG.

Once I get the BLP files for this skin I will try. I've tried to put Algalon's skins on pets before, but it only makes the model clear. I think I would need the third party model fix to fix the transparency, but I'm not willing to take that risk. I had that same transparency problems when I tried to take Alexstraza's skin onto a drake mount. The skin between her wings where fully transparent.

Can't really say I care for the idea of a constellation pet (mini or otherwise). A bit too etheral and transparent for my tastes. Though, if I had to pick something to apply it to... Scorpid. Get a nice bunch of stars in the tail and claws.

you do know if detected/caught you can get banned for that right.

But that wont happend unless someone says -something- to a GM and we all know what will happen to that person that Snitched

Oh, I know. I've been using edits since pre-BC, mostly to change the god awful tauren cat form. Now that they changed the tauren cat to something I can bear to look at, I haven't used any edits. I make a few from time to time as requests but I never end up keeping them myself.
