Change of Heart?

Hi guys. Long time no see P:
As many of you guys have, I've been keeping an eye on the MIA tamables that were removed for the Shattering and are slowly being re-introduced into the game, some with new skins or quirks and some with their old ones.
Here's my question: Has anyone, over the past few months, genuinely missed the opportunity to tame one of these beasts/wished they did when they had the chance? Has anyone decided "yes, it's being re-released in the next patch and I'm going to tame it on live!" keeping in mind that there's a good chance these guys are going to remain on live for the remainder of the game.
For me - for some reason I'm not entirely sure of - the pet that bothered me the most when a heap of them went MIA was Broken Tooth. It sounds silly perhaps, as he's a common skin, and I only had him for a very short time back when he had the lowest attack speed (I had him for about a week before the patch that standardised pets lol), after that I abandoned him as I didn't have the stable slots or inclination to keep a second cat. But when I heard he'd gone I was bothered by the loss, even more so than unique-skin OCJ etc. So once he's back up on live I'll be trotting on down there to add Broken Tooth to my stable for good. (Another cat - I have 4 of them already, he'll be my 5th on the one character. haha)
Anyone else going to tame one of the golden oldies after missing their presence in the ruined old world?

Olm The Wise. When I found out about bigger stables, he was one of the pets who I tamed in a fit of 'fill my stable'. ... and then one of the ones I released in order to actually refine the stable into something tighter later on. Once I made space, I decided I wanted to recapture him, only to find that he was an MIA. I finally went and had him restored once I was sure; it was the biggest regret I had. ... and yet, I still have the strong urge to release him from my stable and recapture him from Felwood instead, now that it's obvious he is being returned to the game. I don't know that I could explain it. It just feels more *right* somehow.

Two for me.
The first is Old Cliff Jumper. I was heartbroken when I learned he was MIA the day after I deleted the hunter who had him ever since Vanilla because I just couldn't play her anymore no matter how hard I tried to go back to her. When he comes back, my night elf huntress is going to pick him up and he'll be part of the wolf pack she's been building.
Hawkbane is the second, though he's not from original Vanilla content, and Lord knows if he'll ever be restored or not, but... I really miss this cat. Hawkbane was the sole reason I changed Toph to a blood elf huntress (from a draenei shaman) in the first place, and I was leveling her like mad to get to BC endgame just so I could tame him. I never got the chance to, though. Toph was nowhere near being able to /go/ to Outland when I learned that Hawkbane had been removed from the game for some reason, and I was devastated to the point where I stopped playing Toph save for once and a while while I made and leveled another blood elf huntress in hopes of getting my mind off that cat. It didn't work, though, and I still think of him and wish that I could've been faster in my leveling since he wouldn't have fit anybody else but Toph. I ran into somebody who had him a while back and it... hurt me all over again because they'd kept his original name. Out of all the MIA pets, I really, really hope that Hawkbane will be returned to us someday. And though she'll have to make room, Toph will have a stable slot with his name on it waiting for him.

OCJ. Oh man. My worst nightmare.
I tried taming before the Shattering, he never showed. I was probably up 20 hours waiting on him, he never did. I was so heartbroken its unbelievable.
Then I tried again in Cata. Deep inside I knew he was removed, but I couldnt help but camp. I camped for days even thoguth I knew he was never gonna show. I finaly moved on when I got a solid confirmation he isn't ingame.
Then when I found out he's coming back, man was I happy! He will be the first thing I'm getting as soon as the patch goes live. I'm already parked in Hinterlands!
Something I kinda regret was letting go of my Zaricotl. I love the new skin, but I dont have the pet anymore. He is deffo something I'm getting back aswell

Rekk'tilac is the most relieving of the MIAs for me.
I grew to have something of an obsession with that tarantula, and even after vowing to see him in the wild at least once, I never witnessed him with my own eyes until it was too late and he was removed.
Now that he's coming back he'll take the lava tarantula slot in my undead hunter's stable. ^_^

Araga for me - I tamed her again after releasing her once before on my hunter, and I am so happy that she is coming back. I held onto her after the Shattering, but she was always one of my favorite cat models and I am glad she is coming back with 4.06

Everyone here knows how I feel about Chatter.

He's the rare I'm happiest to see return.
OCJ was one I had never bonded with as a rare, even though he's been my dear Hector for years now. I felt his loss almost as strongly as I did Chatter's. When I found him back on the PTR, we finally bonded. It was a back and forth experience.
But to answer the OP's question, the rare I'd never had interest in beforehand and had never seen on live (and still haven't) was Deathmaw. Now that he's going to be giving his appearance to Hector, I'm going to have to find him. While I don't exactly regret never having seen him on live before, I did realize that he's the only one of the old world worg rares I've never seen on live, so I feel somehow incomplete.

I remember being unhappy when they standardized pet attack speed as it took away the glee at having BrokenTooth back in the day. One of my hunters had Deathmaw, and may still I just don't know who.
Hawkbane was probably the one that I was disappointed that they got rid of, seemed to be no rhyme or reason to it. Unfortunately for me, when I was going to tame him is right when they removed him. I was even using the tame one of the outside cats to clear the rest of the cats otw to him before abandoning it, method.

It's really sweet to see so many of the MIA's were loved/appreciated.
Which skin was Hawkbane? Not familiar with the name unfortunately, and he seems to have captured a lot of interest.

Hawkbane was a white tiger, normal cat model. Nothing too special, but he was removed for no reason, and some people really wanted him.

Adding on to what LupisDarkmoon said:
Hawkbane was a white tiger in a remote part of Skettis that had a pack of cats. He was an elite and he shared King B's skin and he stood out from the other cats because they all had one of the nightsaber skins, not sure which. I really wanted him because I'd always wanted a white tiger, I absolutely loved his name, and at the time, I didn't like King B at all because /everybody/ and their grandmother had him and bad memories of him killing my lowbies in Stranglethorn. Pretty much, back then, up till his removal, he was the only other way you could get a white tiger aside from getting King B. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about any of that.

I really seem to have had a change of heart this expansion--had never tamed any rares before 4.0, and now have three. I'm hoping to get the rare chimera in Azshara, as I really like its new look.

Actually, you could also pick up a normal Frostsaber from Winterspring - but if you wanted a rare or special white tiger, then it was King B or Hawkbane.

Oh right - thanks for that, I do remember him now

I didn't know he was removed though. What a pity. I hope he returns sometime soon for you guys who want to tame him.

I'd forgotten about those.
But if I wasn't so darn shy, I'd lead a crusade to get that cat back not only just for me, but for everyone else who wanted him and never got their chance to tame or even see him.

I tamed the two I cared about the most pre-Shattering - Strider Clutchmother and Azzere the Skyblade. SC ended up not going MIA if I remember correctly, but Azzere did. I'm really glad he's coming back in the next patch, even though I already have him. He and Hayoc have pretty much always been my favorite wind serpents (and I have them both!

Araga. I've camped her on so many hunter for probably 2-3 weeks 8+ hours a day. And now with the bigger stables I get to keep her!
