Forgive me if this is redundant (my posts here usually are, sadly) but I'm reading a lot of conflicting info and was hoping someone could provide a definitive answer.

Is there going to be a non-rare Madexx-type scorpid in 4.0.6? Things I have read here seem to suggest that there will be, but I was curious if I was misinterpreting something.

(So far I've tamed the bronze, green and red/cranberry versions, haven't had any luck with blue or black yet)

No, the new scorpids are now the bronze Madexx model and are not colour changers. At one point they cycled between blue and bronze but they have removed blue from its colouration.

So a common Bronze version will be available as a non-rare. All other colours (including bronze) still spawn as Madexx. Old Madexx tames retain their colours as well.

Did they? I dont recall seeing that update. I remember only seeing that they switched from bronze and blue.

Mm hmm, just bronze now. There were updates a while ago in that long thread regarding these new PTR mobs.

The mobs are called Venomscale Spitters, and they're just around the southern Temple of Uldum area.

Interesting! I planned on getting all 5 colors but I'm not sure I have 2 more pets I can live without.

Although, I kind of neglect my Madexxes sadly. Whenever I need a tank pet or am soloing I use Pokee - she's my oldest pet and by far the one I am most attached to.

Since I have had zero luck even finding a dead Maddexx, and I like the bronze coloration the best, I am very happy about this news.

I've seen the Venomscale Spitters in a lot of other places besides just the Temple of Uldum. Like the very beginning of the zone (from the Tanaris entrance), and I do believe I saw some more near all those crazy gnomes.

I have yet to see a Madexx in game, but from the screen shots I've seen, the Brown one looks the best. Reminds me of the TLPD coloration for some reason. I really liked the TLPD skin... well, compared to all the other ugly proto-drakes.

Taste is a relative and mysterious things. I've noticed that every Madexx color has his fans.

Gladly one of the models I liked became a common model. =)

Now if only they would add blue...*sigh*

ok im a little confused. so once patch 4.0.6 comes out blizz will remove the blue, black, red and green madexx

No Madexx spawns are being removed. Only a common mob is being given his bronze skin.
