What do you do when you get bored?

So, just as the title says, what do you do when you get bored in-game? I'm a SERIOUS alt-aholic and tend to run around on them for a bit but then get bored again for whatever reason. I really like playing on my main hunter who is 85 but am too chicken to queue for a random heroic (juuuust got geared the other day! :D) so I queue for random regulars every once in a while. I only do 1 or 2 since it's just a cycle between the 3 and I get Halls of Origination without fail EVERY TIME. x___x I've been collecting random BM pets, since BM will be getting buffed. I'm trying really hard to get the rotation down but that's another topic completely, lol. I went back and did all the Cata quests (almost done with Hyjal and I got that @$&%^$#* jumping on the trampoline achievement....) so now I'm back with nothing. I think my main issue is that 1) my account will be dying this week and I won't be renewing it (school > WoW :( ) and 2) I don't really have any friends I can play with... They're all on other servers and my boyfriend hasn't played in a while so, while the people in my guild are nice, there aren't too many of them and they aren't online all the time. Maybe I should try and camp Gondria more seriously, although camping isn't very interesting either, imo. :P

So what do you guys do to stay entertained? :) Thanks for any help, guys! My account won't be renewed until the end of April when school lets out so hopefully people will be geared and my blatant screw ups won't be AS bad! lol And maybe I'll get to FINALLY use my Chromaggus in a 5 man! Poor guy is just sitting in the stables, wondering why I tamed him as a big bad boss guy and now he's just a loud, grumpy pet.

* Collect mounts: Run Stonecore, Strat etc or camp TLPD (BLEARGH)
* Collect Minipets: random drops, quest pets etc
* Do Old-World lowbie quests: for achievements & to experience them
* Help Guildmates (if I find myself very bored, I ask if anyone needs help, or try to)
* Run Battlegrounds
* Grind Rep: for mounts, minipets, tabards & achievements

When all that fails I wind up wandering off and doing WoW-related art & guides, both of which are generally terrible ;D

Soloing! My project back in WotLK was to complete the Outland Dungeon Hero achievement by soloing every single one of those instances. I managed to pull off H MgT (done it a few times, actually; not enough dedication to farm for the mount, or even the hatchling, though), but simply ran out of time as I got distracted by more pressing matters (like beating up Thekal every three days until he gave me his fist weapon so that I could turn into tiger-man; asshole was obstinate until the end and I never got it :(). So, it's kind of trivial now at level 85, but oh well.

If/when I reach the point on Cialbi where I don't have anything better to do, I'll try soloing WotLK heroics. There's Skadi's Drake and the Battered Hilt to try for, after all.

Another side-project of mine is to collect items and trinkets that can transform you. I have the old version of Dartol's Rod, Iron Boot Flask (very easy to get), Gnomeregan Pride, and am hoping for an Orb of the Sin'dorei to drop from MgT one of these days. I may try for a Time-Lost Figurine as well.

If you DO decide to go for WotLK heroics, Cialbi--the combination of Camo + current HP pools makes it a joke. UP heroic (Skadi run) takes ~6 minutes, max, for me right now :S PoS heroic, etc, give me no trouble at all; I imagine farming for the Hilt one could simply do the HoR trash and feign on the bosses to loot, & repeat. Looking back at it, comparing how HARD it was at first to just running around solo in them now, is sick

I did the same thing you did as far as transform things too, actually: Dark Iron Boot Flask, Stave of Fang and Claw or w/e, Time-Lost Figurine, Ritual of the New Moon, Faded Apprentice's Hat (?), Orb of Deception, Burghy Blackheart's hat, etc. Orb of the Sindorei never dropped for me--the mount & pet dropped, and I couldn't be bothered to farm it just for the orb if it hadn't dropped by then. Ditto the Super Simian Sphere--BoP world drop, not gonna farm for that either  I may get Bones of Transformation eventually through Archaeology, though--

OH. If you're bored, try Archaeology! MASSIVE mindless time-sink with some fun rewards!

Archaeology, fishing, shopping for new outfits, and browsing pets. I haven't done a single instance. I may someday, I just finished up Loremaster for Cata.

Currently, farming Sunwell for engy patterns for my little goblin shaman alt. Usually: farming mini-pets for people because I love giving people random presents that make them smile. I never got the tiger mount from ZG (*sheds single tear*) but I did manage to pick up two Razzashi Hatchlings and kept them in my bank ... so when my bro and his wife (just last week) said "Oh DAMN! We should have farmed those!!!" I popped out a pair all "tah-DAH!!" and got to grin like an idiot.

I watch other people RP, like I'm watching a soap opera.

OOOH but that chick was dating that dude.

Oh no she didn't.

hahahaha! I love this! I made an alt on an RP server once and went to Goldshire... never again...

I've been doing some archaeology but every time I see a night elf fragment I want to tear my hair out! :x

I also brought Mr. Rorschach the Super Beetle Tank into a few places. Now I just need to get my boyfriend to lemme borrow his account so I can go into Kara or something... *cackles*

I tried the Skadi fight and for some reason failed HORRIBLY. The adds overwhelmed me and I just died. I'll need to try that again. I think I read that I need to FD or something? I'll read that post on the mount-forum. :D

i also go lookin for other rare spawn pets for friends, or try to improve my shot priority/rotation some (always top of the charts, if im not 1st in damage done(what counts) im doing something wrong.

Mine sounds like everyone else's. Collect mounts, vanity pets, tabards, reps, achieves, toys. Work on archaeology and other trade skills (gathering, fishing). I have alts as well but I only play them once in a while. Also been kiting whale sharks around Vashjr and 2 manning old raids to see how far we can get (working on Kael'Thas, Black Temple, downed Onyxia 10 :D ) - it's a good way to get some neat loot, make gold, and expand my skills as a player.

I usually work on achievements, archaeology, old world quests, old raids/instances for mounts or outfits or leveling an alt.

For soloing raids what works is to have a friend or guildmate get on an alt (has to be high enough level!), form a group with you, then log off that alt and go do whatever they please. You can then freely switch between being in a raid group so that you can enter raids, or not being in a raid group so that you can complete quests Super-helpful if you die, since you need to be in a raid group to zone back into the raid (if you aren't in a raid group, then you can retrieve your corpse but won't be allowed into the instance). It won't be detrimental to them at all, unless they log back into that alt to do some quests, dungeons, or PvP.

I've been farming the blue protodrake out of Heroic UP and the Raven Lord mount out of Heroic Sethekk.

I've been grinding rep with all the BC factions. Just finished up Sporeggar and Honor Hold, and now I'm on to the Netherdrakes.

I'm collecting my old t4 set, so I go run BC raids with friends. I'm also trying to get my Sonic Spear again (normal Shadow Labyrinth).

I watch people RP in Stormwind, or I walk around and look for RP myself.

I try to find rare spawns.

I farm ore.

I roll a baby hunter or DK.

I do Azeroth quests (which I'm about to start doing again now that I'm faction transferred).

well, atm when I get bored on my high lvs I switch to my lv 67 worgen rogue and head to BRS, Stealth, sap, pickpocket, repeat. I've a friend who's giving my 10g/heavy box, and needs 1300 of them so...keeps me busy. He needs them for rep i think.

Other then that, I run around skinning stuff so I can lv my LW on my druid, and DE any green+ drops.

I make little "projects" for myself to do -- things to obsess over and take up time until it's done.

My current obsession is getting the Elder title on my druid, who started out the Lunar Festival in her mid-60s. I'll need to get her to at least lvl 75 in order to complete it (the minimum level required to enter UP -- the highest level dungeon with an Elder in it). So far, she's at level 72, 3 more to go before the festival ends!

I also like farming for mounts on Cerah, small pets on Taysha (my mage), doing archelogy on my rogue, or going pet hunting on any of my Hunters (surprisingly, rares seem to like showing up for my mage far more than for my hunters). If I'm really bored, I'll go over to Maelstrom and play on my ally alts.
