So i decided to copy my main over to the ptr to check out some of the new pets. I mounted up on my White War Talbuk and i noticed that something looked different about it. I realized that the horns and hooves are no longer purple. They are now grey like the unarmored model. Can someone else confirm this? It was part of the reason that i like that particular mount.

It's not just the public test realm. While spending Christmas with my boyfriend, I noticed someone riding the mount around with the bright purple horns/hooves. When I mounted mine, it had them as well. I was pointing them out to him and saying how I liked them and wished the Cobalt one had them since it is my favorite of the Talbuks.

Recently, within the past two weeks, I saw someone ride by and the horns/hooves were normal. IE: lacking the purple shine. Wondering if it had been patched, I too, pulled out mine. Mine were also normal bland looking horns/hooves.

Since then, I have seen the purple horns/hooves riding around. It seems like a random bug to me. It's not a common mount to see running around on and I haven't mounted it enough to see how often it happens. I have always thought that the purple was slightly odd for them. If you noticed with the purple, the horns lose some of the detail compared to the "normal" ones. They're the only Talbuk model with brightly colored horns as such. Even if the purple is a model display bug.. I hope they don't fix it.

If I remember correctly, this also applies to the normal White Talbuk and not just the White War Talbuk.

I kind of like it with the grey horns. :o

Veeka has a faithful - if somewhat cowardly - talbuk as her primary ground mount, but it always feels awkward if I'm just riding him around in Azshara or Mulgore because his horns change color when his armor is taken off. I was thinking about just handwaving it as warpaint or whatever, but still...as much as I love the purple, a non-fluorescent version would be lovely too.

Just checked it on live and goat's horns are still as purple as ever.

Daxxarri explains it's not an intentional change. Except to see your lovely White War Talbuks back with their beautiful blue hooves and horns!

Have no fear, it is merely a bug. Confirmed by a blue this morning. It's an unintentional bug from something they fixed.
