Yeah yeah, I know, another "Here rare spawn, come see me!" thread. I'm sorry. It seems to work for everyone else, so!

Here I am, alternately hovering and circling the lonely area, waiting for Madexx. I'll be here until he shows up, or I fall asleep. *knock on wood, cross fingers, so forth*

Haa, fantastic! So after spending something ridiculous like nine hours of circling circling circling, when suddenly the whisper I was waiting for come through!



As you can see, I didn't waste any time clicking off the recount reset junk before hauling tail over there!

There was a moment of panic when npcscan went off before he loaded in and I thought I has somehow missed my chance, but then there he was all big and angry with me! So I dropped a trap, promptly broke it, and hit tame. A few uneasy seconds later, and...



...and pretty much immediately we were dive bombed by two hunters who were just a bit too slow. But man, I"m so excited! He returned from his trip to find the moon, or whatever was keeping him from us, and now he is mine!



He still needs a name, but he's so pretty. Thanks again to Furiku for spending most of the day flying in circles looking for a bug in among the other bugs~<3

Haha, thanks. I know, right? I didn't even want him when I first saw him, but the fever of this forum for him has brought me around.

I swear, it's worse than when I was camping Loque =_=

I've had the most luck with rares when I logged on at simply ridiculous hours. 3AM server time is usually a nice one. I don't tend to camp, but then again, on a high pop. server it might be better to camp it out.

I dunno... I had really bad experiences camping the Northrend rares. x.x I still haven't re-caught Aotona.

Aaanyway. You'll catch him! I didn't even want him either until I saw him in-game. Yeah, changed my mind quick.

Hmm, where would the best place to find out what server times are the least busy on a daily basis for each server?

Yeah, sadly Lightbringer is a pretty high-pop server, so I'm giving camping it out a try. I haven't done serious camping since I was on my old server, which wasn't nearly as bad.

I have had some good luck with the random checking, but it's such a busy area I'm concerned about it. And there's shaman. I don't see many hunters, but lots of shaman.

I haven't actually -seen- him in-game. Anywhere. he's the only rarespawn pet I've never seen running around, but I did see the one black one that's the npc's pet and I fell in love. But I figure if I can't find him by the patch, I'll nab the new common one and call it good (but man the blue one is sooo pretty~<3)

Man if Uldum didn't eat my frame rate and make me want to strangle something every time I try to even go through it I'd come down and help you out. You can always whisper me if you want some company during it, if I'm ever on while you're camping lol. Good luck though!

Erf, the sound effects here are starting to wear on me a bit. There's something in the loop that sounds like a phone ringing to me in my headphones, and it makes me want to jump up every time :B *possibly has been at this too long*

Ah well, at least I'm learning to ignore the screams of the other scorpies that aren't the one I'm after while people quest beneath me.

Well think of it this way, at least you don't camp how I camp. I camp with the sound completely off and npc_scan set to turn sound on should a rare be found. So you're less likely to die of a heart attack. Unlike me. :3

Haa, it's very strange. I don't normally run with any wow sounds at all, since I prefer to listen to podcasts of music or what have you, so the sounds are new to me! And they were neat, at first. Now they're just old.

...on the other hand, it has given me a chance to work out an alt's theme and pets. She will not have Madexx (I hope...). Erf.

I can imagine them growing to be old, heh.

I've pretty much promised myself that I'm not going to camp the same pet again for my other hunter, with a few exceptions. If my computer ever gets along with Uldum I might give camping Madexx a try, but I dunno. He's not really my type of scorpion. -prods at Madexx to get him to spawn for you- Come on Maddy, be nice!

Only zone that I actually enjoy listening to on loop is Storm Peaks. I probably wouldn't mind camping there for Skoll if I were actually one to sit down and camp a spot. It's amazing I even have a spirit beast, really.

Haha yeah, I'm not -normally- one for camping. I did camp hardcore for Loque, back when he was the only spirit beast, because oh man lazerkitty! I NEEDED me one of them. The others have all found their way to me without any hunting.

One will. I betcha he's just not wanting to get out of bed to talk to you, 'cause he had a busy day at work and needs to sleep. But he will because you keep knocking at his door and he can't get any sleep with you doing it!

Two am server; four am my time. Lots of little scorpies, but no daddy one. Looks like an all-nighter for me. I'm starting to wonder about my sanity...

Scratch that, Deathwing came and torched everything. Guess I'll have to try to dance later. A pity.

Good luck! Madexx actually spawned for me right after a Deathwing attack. I think evil world-destroying dragons might be good luck. Regardless, I hope he spawns for you soon!
