I love BM, I really do, but I thought I'd like to try something different. After some reading and poking around I decided Survival looked like it could be fun and I'd like to give that a try. I'd be greatly appreciative if any of you survival experienced hunters could share any tips, tricks, suggestions and/or advice.

My #1 tip that took me a while to learn: Explosive Shot has a DoT effect. When Lock and Load procs, don't fire it all off as soon as the GCD is done! Wait until the DoT is finished before you Explosive Shot again.

Other than that... Use Explosive Shot instead of Arcane Shot (they share a cooldown) and when you're fighting multiple mobs, use Black Arrow on one other than the one you're currently killing (if they die relatively quickly), so Lock and Load can proc.

I'll be sure to try and remember that when I finally get dual spec.

I'm currently gemmed/enchanted for AP, would that work for Surv? Or should I go for agi instead?

The difference is miniscule. Tough Agi gems would give a slightly better benefit, they are'nt THAT superior. If you have empty sockets, go for AGI, but don't feel the need to change your current gems to AGI just because of it.

That is very good to know.

Not too long ago I had to redo everything to get my hit down to something near the cap, I'd hate to have to redo everything again.

Finally got dual spec, and have been playing around with shot priority. With 2 pieces of t9, should I go Serpent Sting->Black Arrow, or the other way around?

You should probably put Black Arrow before Serpent Sting, with the increased damage, it sounds right. The thing to remember tough is to always have Serpent up, it becomes a good DPS spell when it crits.

My rotation priority is:

1. Kill Shot. If it's up, use it!
2. Explosive shot. Ka-bloosh!
3. Black Arrow.
4. Aimed Shot for one mob, multi-shot for more.
5. Steady shot if and only if everything else is on CD.
