ok before i logged last night I parked my butt where Evalcharr spawns and at 12:20 server time he spawned and is now mine!

ME TOO! I logged in and there he was...Olm was not but Rex Ashii was...so Black Wasp, Green Chimera done.

20 minutes later and I was landing in the southern barrens and the green beetle is mine wahoo!!



my stables are now totally full and totally complete

yesterday i got my final spirit beast to complete my collection when i got a NPC hit for karoma at 8:17 PM server time on earthanring! now I have all spirit beast in my stables!

For anyone using a /target macro, it needs to start with The. I had a macro /target Ev, and it didn't target this mob. I noticed when I flew closer to the ground and actually could see him, that my macro wouldn't target him without /the.

Tamed on Aerie Peak 3:40!

I'd say realm first on Wyrmrest Accord, but I'm not sure about respawn timers and I did have a few issues preventing me from getting online as the servers came up, so it's possible he just respawned very quickly. Either way, he's gorgeous. Grats on yours!

His spawn is right behind Gallywix Pleasure Palace, where the brown/tan chimeras are near the river.

Not to rain on parades, but how does one know for sure it is a Realm first?

According to the Official World of Warcraft Atlas, this mob is rated as Very Rare with a respawn timer of ~32-48 hours.

not sure if his spawn timer has been adjusted for Cata or not, but if you tame him right when servers come up, chances are you are server first except for people who had the old one from his pre-shattering disappearance.

I know before shattering Evalcharr had an extremly long respawn like almost two days so if you got it then I would say realm first since not every hunter knows about Evalcharr new skin an also since it's Tuesday alot of people don't bothering logging till late afternoon or early evening thinking site might still be Down.

Why does it matter? I mean, I love that people are getting the pets they want, but ehh..I don't care who's first.

Well if you're talking about things that became tamable as of 4.0.6, with respawn time of at least a few hours, then it stands to reason you're the first one on the realm to tame it if you got it within the first few hours after the realm came up!

Grats but I'm pretty sure he's not realm first. People have been taming him for a long time. ^^;

Congrats on the tame! If I was a beast master, I'd be tempted to go after that beauty myself.

I think I got realm first Zari, OCJ, and Rex Ashil tames (post shattering) on Thrall-US

or at the very least, realm second (but whos countin? )

Im almost thinking that I got first Zari and Vile Sting since this morning.

Im 98% sure Im the ONLY one so far with Zari's new skin. Possible HellHoot and Olm too. Older hunters might still have Vile from pre shatter days.

of course since Evalcharr has been out for a very long time and many hunters over the years tamed him/her, even sure those that still had Evalcharr in their stables had the skin change, I just know those of us who did tame today are realm first to actual tame Evakcharr with the new skin. For me it a whole new rare as far as I am concerned especially considering it was removed from the game but brought back thanks to sites like petopia, and with the new skin makes it a whole new pet!

I am so happy I been wait what seems like forvever for the patch to come out to tame Evalcharr ever since I seen the new look!
