Below is a full list to my knowledge of all rare spawns with individual skins.

If there is more than one name, it means that the skin isnt individual, but every version avaliable is rare.

Chromaggus - Core Hound - not rare, but takes quite a fair amount of work to tame,
so ive included it in this list, but seperate from the list or rares.

If you can think of any others that should be in the individual rare list, or are hard to aquire but not rare and should be listed here as well, please let me know.

Petopia Rare Pets

Yes, that is a full list of rare pets in the game, but that list includes pets that also have the same skin avaliable from other common pets found elsewhere.

The list i have posted, are rares that have individual skins, so the only way of having that looking pet, is by having caught that individual rare.

I spent some time going through every pet and noting which ones were individual rares, so thought id post it in case anyone else is looking for the same thing, to save their time.

That's a good idea! Petopia has the Rare Pets page and the Unusual Looks page, but neither of them is just rares with unique looks. Do you think a permanent page for that would be useful? (I can generate it from the database so you don't have to keep this list updated.)

You forgot Old Cliff Jumper and Deathmaw.

That would be excellent.

Something else that i think would be useful if you could add it, is the NPCscan ID of every pet, or just rares if thats too much work.

Ive had trouble finding the IDs in the past, and i think it would be very useful to new hunters, or people without too much knowledge of taming rares who might otherwise miss the wonders of NPCscan.

Indeed you are right, i shall add them now.

To find an NPC ID, go to the WoWhead link listed beside each mob on Petopia, and on its page check the URL. The numbers at the end of the URL are the ID.

I've been wanting to add NPC IDs to all beasts on Petopia for a long time now, but no way am I going to manually look up ... let's see ... 1316 creatures at last count.

Maybe I should crow-source the problem.

But I can at least do the rares. That makes sense.

Its up to you, but it would be appreciated by no doubt a great many people.

Maybe, if it seems like too much work, you could include the information from this post, that the NPCscan id is within the URL at the top of the browser when looking at a pet on wowhead, somewhere on the front page or something.

The Guardian Swarmer in Ulduar is also a unique skin, and difficult to obtain (though not rare). As is Princess Huhuran and .... Kri, is it? The orange bug boss.

If I find myself with nothing to do between classes and extremely bored, I'll start checking NPC IDs for the unique rares, then move on to all rares.

@Kurasu: Kri is unique, correct. For that matter, Ainamiss and Harakiss are tamable only as rares or AQ 40 bosses.
But, let's just start with unique rares for now.

And Kri and Huhuran are both completely unique colors, while Harakiss and Ainamiss have two different skins: one rare and one 'hard to get in AQ'. So I didn't bother adding Harakiss and Ainamiss.

You should include Brilliant Macaw and Albino Eyegouger, two parrots that have a chance to spawn in Deadmines.
