Been camping Deathmaw on and off since about noon. Got him a few minutes ago! He spawned much further northwest than I thought he'd be. Glad I took a little patrol instead of sitting.

I love that he makes noises when you click him. Now I just need a name.

Thanks guys. He does match Kalhoun, even down to eye color. I ended up naming him Bear.

As to where I tamed him, I don't have an addon with coordinates, but I'm pretty sure I was northwest of Dreadmaul Rock. He was walking around along this hilly area, but not right up against the northern mountains.

Thanks - I ended up finding him last night just a little south east of Dreadmaul Rock. Very, very happy.

Yeah, I think there's a few of us Wyrmrest Accordians hanging about these forums.

I got to admit, Wolves and Human hunters just go so nicely together. =P

I just want to verify that he does not just spawn down on the location in wowhead. I found him just a bit northwest of Dreadmaul Rock as a result of this thread.

I too am hunting the brown fluffy beast. My only problem is, I don't know how long he takes between spawns.

I have sat at the northwest spawn point (where I have seen him spawn and tamed him on an alt) for a couple of hours at a time, every fifteen minutes flying off around Dreadmaul Rock checking out the other spawn locations, but I have only seen him the once.

Does anyone know how often he spawns?

WoWhead has him hugging the cliffs in the SW corner of Burning Steppes but seeing that other screenshot a few posts above, he prolly has spawn points all around Dreadmaul Rock

He sure does have other spawn locations than those shown on WoWhead and Thottbot. I wasted an hour or two checking there (Damn you thottbot... DAMN YOU!) before I remembered that he had multiple spawn locations before cata (when he was still a black worg). I then flew around Dreadmaul rock and found him a little ways north-northeast of it.

I believe before cata he used to spawn anywhere within the area that the Giant Ember worgs inhabit now. Wouldn't be surprised if his spawn locations are the same as back then.

I found him today Northwest of Dreadmaul Rock and tamed on my 75 hunter. He has spawn points amongst the Giant Ember Worgs that circle Dreadmaul Rock

I found Deathmaw NW of Dreadmaul Rock as well. Got really lucky and he popped up right after I got out of an instance.

Trying to find him now for a buddy of mine... i keep looking back on X (im playing a diff hunter atm) every 2 hours and nothing yet-- been a day n half now xP one day soon... i should reduce it to every one hour, she reeally reeally wants him but is addicted to her priest and is in part-time college
