I knew it...
Whatever someone creates can be broken by someone else.

But I've checked for that bastard immediately!

Nothing has really changed. Having an authenticator never meant you could go to any sites you wanted, suspicious or no, and never worry about security. Just be smart, keep your virus programs and firewalls up to date, secure your wireless connection on your router if you have one, and always remember three important things:

1. Blizzard will NEVER ask you for your password. They don't need it, they don't want it, it does them no good to have it. If they need to look at your account, the name and realm of one of your characters will suffice.

2. Blizzard will NOT tell you you're being investigated for account sharing or exploiting the economy. They'll just suspend or ban your account straight-off and then do the investigating. They don't give warnings via email about that kind of thing.

3. There's no such thing as a free lunch. You are not a Blizzard lucky person, you have not been special selected for a free secret mount. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Be sensible, be smart, be safe, and the authenticator will still keep the garden-variety thieves and hackers out of your account.

I don't have an authenticator.

You need a credit card to buy one and I don't have one.
Credit cards are not very common in germany.

I only said that whatever you do, someone will be able to get around it one day.
Nothing is really ever safe.

I only hope and pray to the gods that I'll never ever be hacked or I might quit the game if Blizz doesn't restore everything that was stolen.
So much effort put into my warrior and hunters, I can't do it all over again.

Three words. Battlenet Mobile Authenticator.

It works on iPhones, and most cell phones.

By your reasoning, Linux users should be immune too. Yay!
