WoW Petopia Community

So. I wouldn't mind some practice with various things (I'm looking at you, color and shading) as well as stepping out of my comfort zone with various WoW critters. Drawing Terrorpene, for example, was a relatively fun challenge.

So. Here's what I'm asking. Want a WoW beastie drawn for you? Two or three WoW beasties? Maybe a new siggy, avvie, background picture, or just something to look at it when you open your WoW Pet fanart folder? (I'm sure SOME of us have one.) I'll try and draw it for you. My only warning is I'm practicing. Thereby, while I'm not going to take five minutes to do it, it's not going to be godly quality like Pengupuff's is, for example. It's just going to be a semi-decent drawing.

That warning said, if you still are okay with that post here. Only things I should mention:

1. Please, I'd prefer no humanoids. They tear me up. Just WoW critters or some Pokemon. I can do a few of those.
2. If you want an avvie/siggy, please credit me. Doesn't have to be huge. Heck, it can even be, "Crummy art done by Azu." Just something to let others know that I did it. (That way, if it makes people cry inside, they can yell at me and not you. )

Well. With combination of Petopia, a bit of creative guesswork, and some effort, I got this.

I really like it. I though it was ironic to have an undead plague piggy sitting in the middle of a happy, cheery glade-esque area. Yes. A rabbit was needed to complete the effect.

Essentially, I drew the lines out, then I erased my reference circles, then I zoomed in a lot and erased a lot of tiny little lines that peeked out. Once done, I applied paint for the solid coating, then took a darker color for shading.

I felt bad about having to give up a couple of my birds, though they still live on with me in minipet form.

Soooo, could I please get a drawing of Icarus () and Daedelus () flying together, with the sun in the background?

It's PERFECT for Frankie because he's totally a happy-go-lucky character...in fact I don't think he even realizes he's dead, he just goes about with his carefree life. That picture encompasses his character to a T.

*salutes* Can do. Victorelle's is actually really easy (I've been drawing wolves for a while.) So I can finish hers and get a bit started on yours. Maybe. We'll see how computer holds out. And sleep is always a good idea....

Glad you like it, Veph! It was a lot of fun to do, especially the face. Once I found the color I was all, "Hell yes. I can DO this." It was just a burst of sheer awesome.

Okay. I love wolves, so this was a piece of cake to draw. Perspective is another thing I need to work with. Only HUGE glaring issue I have is the sun, and that's because I didn't realize I didn't fix it till I uploaded it. >.>

This time around, I tried messing with opacity and a second layer for shading.

Similar tactic for shading as Victorelle's. New layer + Opacity and messing with that. Hm. I like drawing birds, so this was also a fairly easy and fun one to do. Seagulls and parrots are so different. I did try adding feather detail to Daedelus' wings to make it less boring.

And ironically, they were supposed to be switched. I saw the raw lines, and went eh. Let's switch 'em, I like them better that way. A bit of editing and they were switched.

And I never actually considered the myth in the making. So it's an awesome stroke of luck on my part that it ended well, and relates to the myth. Hah.

And okay. I think I have an idea for Lahzuli. We'll see how it plays out.

I'm making so many cheery ones. Someone remind me to draw something grim, for balance. That said, as I post this, I have no more! Yay! No I don't have to feel guilty about making people wait. Heh. Course, I'd love to draw more. I personally never know what to draw, so being told to draw stuff is yay. And thanks, Kalli. XD



That said, let's see. Commentary on this one. Erm...worgens are a lot like NEs to draw. It was like drawing a fluffier, greyer Azu. The color was a pain to get, and even then I'm still iffy on it. It's...blueish, but I just can't reach that proper blue shade, much to my annoyance. I like the face though. And it's very cheery and happy.

If you want something dark to draw, you can do one of Tyrant (black devilsaur) being all mean and stuff. =P
