Flaming Crab...burnt out?

I tamed a crab with the flame on its head thanks to the post earlier on how to tame the appearance buff pets again (I know, shouldn't do it lest I risk an angry GM), and I stabled it immediately afterward to keep only as a trophy pet, to make a friend jealous. Today, I felt like leveling it, so I got it out of the stable, and its talents got reset as well as the bar having only attack, follow, move to, aggressive, defensive, and passive. Odd, but I respec it, and attempt to fix the bars. Upon moving the skill onto the bar, it returns to being a blank spot. Moving abilities to the blank spots that are already on the bar makes them disappear, so the pet is pretty much auto-aggressive now until I click the skill in the spellbook. My other pets are perfectly fine, but my flaming crab doesn't want to have any new moves on its bar. Anyone else having this issue?
I have a GM ticket in, will post what happens when/if the ticket is resolved.

Personally id actually retame the crab if you did the /petAbandon macro-- im also fearful because GM's said its a bannable offence to use that macro for buffs appearence related or otherwise:x

Eh, if I get banned, oh well. I'm trying to kick the addiction anyway, so if I get banned I won't care. I've beaten the game, at least in my eyes. Nothing for me to do anymore
Still though, if I gotta ditch the crab in the end, I'll do it.

It's not a bannable offense.

I've linked the post from Wain in several threads saying that it's okay to tame these pets so long as it's appearance only and not an actual buff. Unless a player reports you (or you exploit a buff), nothing will happen to you.
And my proof/the thread:

A GM told you personally it was? Or you heard it second hand? It's actually very unlikely to be a bannable offense, and there was official word on it:

Personally. I put a ticket in to ask a couple days after i discovered the topic of everyone taming the beasts with their normally non-retainable looks

Also, just because the pet's skills aren't on the action bar doesn't mean you have to manually hit them in to spell book. The pet will still fight like it always did in the past, but if you want it to use a special skill then yeah... you will need to move the skill to a regular sidebar (can you still toggle skills on and off this way?) or go into the spell book.
On a side note: GMs don't override developers.

Take what GMs say with a grain of salt. They don't always know about these matters. The thread Wain and I linked has an answer from a dev about pets with special appearances.

Mmmmkay. I just dont want my account to be banned. Ive already had one person 3day-freeze me cause they turned out to be a spiteful previous guildie that had a freak out session cause i forgot of a raid day and ended up with a hang over when i was supposed to be raiding with them. Screenshots cleared it up however but im wary :S

trust me, gm's are just random dudes doing a job, and there are all kinds of things they don't know. i spoke with one yesterday about having a spirit of koosu restored and he told me to go tame another one. >____________________>

Sometimes, though... it makes me think Blizz would do well to hire GMs who have actually played the game. xD I mean you tend to pick up bits and pieces after a while, even ones irrelevant to your class, after being involved in the game for even just a few months.

Most people who work for Blizz do play WoW, I friend of mine recently started work as a in-game GM and she is loving it. And the only way a hunter could get banned for a pet is if it can't die, has a attack power one-shot buff to it or simply breaks the game. Apart from that having something thats on fire wouldnt harm anyone, the buff doesnt give +5 fire dmg over time .... it does nothing and only a idiot would complain at someone for enjoying a certain aspect of a game.
As for your issue ... sure it wasnt a bar addon?

Alright, i'll tread carefully but also im gonna re-nab my Icepaw Bear with glowing blue feet that i loved so much and to your question (if its as to if an addon caused my account to get suspended)... no they said that i had stolen a thousand gold and hacked the player but the screenshots i took just incase hell broke out allowed my account to be un-suspended and supposedly they were suspended for their act. The addons i had back then i still have and ive never had an issue with em, nor the addons ive aquired since the incident
